Kyle is now able to walk with the assistance of crutches, and is improving rapidly. He still has to get several tendons replaced in the future. He hopes he will be able to race sometime next year.
This would not have been possible without the help of his extended motocross family, the VC Fire Dept. , and so many others. Kyle is overwhelmed by the generosity and compassion extended, and this encouraged him to keep his leg.
A special thanks to Dave Kimmey at Engine Ice for keeping all of you informed, Dr.Stephen Augustine for never giving up, even though at one point there was less than a 20% chance of saving the leg, and Road to Recovery. Thanks to all the children and ARC members for the cards. Kyle and Matt have donated time and presentations to local area facilities and schools for years, and when he came home from the hospital and saw hundreds of cards hanging on the walls, he was encouraged spiritually.
Thanks to Matt, Justin Barcia, Davi Milsap, Chad Reed, Ryan Sipes, the Allessi family, Weston Pike, and other pro riders that donated items for the fundraiser. FTR, HPD Grafx, GPS, Outdoor Living.net , the Dreggers, Childres"s, the Rouse family, the Canfield family, and the Stark family, that coordinated events for Kyle. The generosity of Germans, where Kyle raced breifly, proves that motocross is one huge family that extends around the world.
From the bottem of our hearts we truly appreciate everything. We cannot imagine not being part of the motocross community.
Thank s to everyone, Kyle, Mariah, Gary and Cyndi.
