Kyle Engle. What happened to him?

Anybody remember him? I remember him being a big amateur name in the late 2000’s. Kinda just faded away. Did he Stroupe?

Thought about this a few months back. He just disappeared. A lot of those guys did, Travis Baker(now LAPD), Bruce Rutherford and a few others I watched race together every CMC series.

Thought about this a few months back. He just disappeared. A lot of those guys did, Travis Baker(now LAPD), Bruce Rutherford and a few others I watched race together every CMC series.
Bruce went to college and is now a teacher.

I hope Kyle is doing well now, I saw him around five-six years ago and the situation wasn’t very good. Haven’t heard anything about him in probably three years.

Unfortunately not to hott rough few years ran in to him about a year ago i tried getting him to come ride with me but he said he couldn’t

When Kyle burst onto the scene it was my first year racing, and I remember he was blistering fast. Christian Craig was also relatively new at the time as well but was a bit smoother, while Engle hung it out.



I remember racing Hot Summer Nights later in the year and Kyle would always show up to Perris to race them. He was "the guy" at the time in Supermini so everyone was aiming at beating him. I don't know him personally but I can relate to not being in a scenario to succeed in racing so I only wish him the best wherever he is or whatever he's doing now.
