Kris Keefer - the big bore

can anyone tell me the story of how this came about? was he running a big bore in a SX race or something?

It came out on the Pulpmx show. Apparently DV was watching Keefer ride 125 SX and he was easily tripling out of the inside line which no one else could do. DV said it was obvious just hearing it. Also, DV said he called him out, yelling Big Bore to him as he walked by later. At least that's how I remember the story...

I used to race in 250b/250 open with a guy that rode a YZ167...on certain tracks and conditions that bike was flat out good.

Was it Mitch that asked him what was done to the bike? And told him he would protest him unless he told him? I heard a similar story like that, not sure if it was keefer

I heard it on another forum. It may have not even been keefer, or Mitch even lol. But I vaguely remember there being a triple/quad out of a turn that factory 125s weren't doing. Supposedly "he" told "Mitch" and he kept his word and never protested

Haha thats so funny! Keefer is such a funny dude. One could easily tell if it is big bore, and especially if the man himself is one of the best engine tuners in the buiss like Mitch haha. We need more stories like this
