Ping, On a few months ago when you interviewed Ryan Hughes on TWTS, he discussed his theory of not wear knee braces. You agreed with a lot of what Ryan was saying and insinuated that you might have been working with TLD on a knee pad of some sort.

Did that knee pad ever make it into production and do you currently wear knee braces?

I’ve been wearing these for about a year, and I have to say that they really hit it out of the park for me. I’ve tried other braces and either couldn’t get them to fit correctly, or couldn’t get comfortable on the bike. Although I don’t think these will prevent hyper extension as well as say an asterisk or mobius, they have a decent locking hinge system and give me comfort on the bike.

I have spoken with prominent doctors in the motocross community that have told me that while knee braces do a great job of stabilizing an injured knee, there is little to no evidence to indicate that they prevent knee injuries.
