Saw House of Mororcycles in Oceanside is selling 450’s for $6,500 OTD. Seems really low to me....is this what 450’s have been going for?

I was at a dealer in Austin 2 weeks ago. Sales guy told me they marked the '18 KX450 down to $5500. I considered buying one for a moment.

I have a buddy that was quoted $5700 OTD for a 2018 KX450. Some of the prices on them are crazy at the moment. Trying to get rid of all the current models to make a big splash with the 2019 models I presume.

That is a resale killer on every other dirt bike for sale, the RM's were the same way. There is no need for an entry level price point bike, just grab a leftover blowout.

That is completely nuts as far as prices go. Last year I bought a Husky 125 for $6999.00 haha.

One thing I have always dug about Kawi's , is they let last years stock go cheap with some kickass rebates!

And there goes Jeffro. One of God's own prototypes. A super high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

That's insane. I paid $5200 for my 144sx back in 2008. Not making any money off those units. Selling at a loss?

And that's one major benefit to riding green. By the time spring rolls around the rebates are in full swing. No point in paying full price in August then letting it sit and depreciate all winter.

For sure man! I myself have always been ( most of the time ) a " Buy the left over bike " kinda guy. Especially when the bike hasn't had any major changes to the upcoming models. I've saved a lot of coin doing it that way.

Well I’ve seen Huskys and there is a reason they (and KTM’s) cost more. Seems like you got a pretty good deal

they've got them listed for $4999 here. Im assuming that means $5500-$5700 out the door.

Guys can probably scoop them up, ride a year and sell them for what they paid or close. No brainer to pick one up if you ask me.

I was sold my 16 last year for $6k plus tax. Frankly it’s the main reason I got it. It was the best deal on a new 450.

I think a 19 might be making its way into my garage next year too.

Kawasaki's are always crazy cheap at the end of the year and this is the end of the model too. Clear out inventory to get ready for the 19's.

smokin' deals on 18'kx450f's. Is the fork fixable, or is there a reasonable spring conversion available for it?

Some guys really like them and can make them work. I wasn’t one of them. I swapped to the 10-12 KX450F Kayaba spring fork. MX Tech and Ohlins make cartridges that will convert both sides to spring, and there are some cheap SFF spring conversions also.

I can almost bet that if you take 5k in cash out of your wallet and put it on the counter they will let you walk out the door with one of those KX's.
