I´ve long been a big fan of Kevin Strijbos ever since he put in a hell of a performance as a teenager in a real mudfest at Genk in the early 2000s. I really thought he´d take the title there a few times but when the impossible Stefan Everts retired there was a new impossible man named Antonio Cairoli that took his place.
He´s been a title contender more than once and finished on the overall podium multiple times but it seems that now he´s going to be out of a ride.
I think Suzuki Factory signed him for 2002 and if I´m not mistaken he´s been there ever since. That must be pretty unusual to have that kind of loyalty from both sides.
Does anybody know about what´s in store for Strijbos or is it still up in the air?
Maybe he´ll retire from GP racing if Suzuki doesnt renew his contract?
32 years old with a few bad seasons behind him might not bring out the most appealing offers.
What do you guys think?

In 2008 he made the move to Kawasaki Racing (where the Pourcel-brothers were racing, not the factory team), as he was a couple with (or interested in) Livia Lancelot at that time. He got injured early in the season and barely scored points.
In 2009 he rode for Honda Martin together with Marc de Reuver. Again he got injured more than once.
In 2010 he rode for the Dutch Beursfoon Suzuki Team. He did quite good with that bike that was practically stock.
In 2011 it looked he would sign for a new KTM-team ran by Georges Jobé. This team never made it, so he didn't have a ride. He bought a stock Suzuki and with help from his personal sponsor he made it and ended up in 10th.
In 2012 he rode for the British KTM UK Team. I think he became British Champion and ended 6th in the WC.
Since 2013 he's part of the Suzuki Factory Team again.
At this moment he has no ride for next year as Suzuki will have Jasikonis and Seewer in MXGP.
I really cant remember seeing him on anything other than a Suzuki but I must just have missed a whole lot of his career.
Also seems that his best results was on Suzukis.
It was Desalle and Ramon on Team Suzuki for a few years.
Ramon got injured at Lommel 2011 and was replaced shortly by Tanel Leok in 2012.
Then Strijbos took over from Leok again in 2013.

In 2008 Desalle was still riding for a German Suzuki-team and in '09 for LS Honda. He became part of the factory team in 2010.

De Dycker has been riding for Honda 24MX for some time now.
