Eli DNF’s with one of the obscure Kawi failures. Kenny wins and leads the series 344 to 343 entering the last round. Last round Coop brake checks Eli, he goes down and can never catch Kenny. Kenny wins championship.

It would be sad to lose the title when you have been on the podium 12 times in 15 races.

That's Ontario, CA USA - but you can claim him as your own since he's probably drunk off Canadian whiskey

There may be a chance for Kenny, but it is incredibly slim...

Chanches are low. But not impossible.
Think how mike brown won the outdoor title on his kx125 and you get the andwer. One moto in enough to make thing go sideways.

Not that I hope it happens but if Webb is first. roczen second and tomac dnf. It would be a great last round. 3 point separating them

Yup!!! That one was something else. I always think about that race when people are ready to just hand out trophies.

Let's not forget Anderson's busted wheel on the next to last race either.

So many things COULD happen.

Likely? Absolutely not.

Eli wraps up the championship...tonight. He doesn't want to go into the final race on Sunday needing to do shit except concentrate on another win.

Agree.

Kenny would certainly need the stars to align just right to pull this off.

At least one of those stars (Weather) looks just right for him today - High of 64 degrees in SLC today.

But will only 2 days of rest have a big impact on his stamina?

Won't even venture to guess.

Stranger things have happened. Eli says he wants to put it away tonight. However it probably is over.

As a hopeless K-Roc fan, I can say with all certainty, he has a chance. I can say reluctantly, with much more logic and wisdom, Eli Tomac deserves this championship more than the others. He has been the most consistent and often fastest guy out there this SX season. Kenny has been great, but his health/mental/? issues got him.

And That is Okay! He can hold his head up with no remorse. He has shown he has the speed again. If he can get his health under control and stay injury free, he will be a title threat next year. If he doesn't, he proved that he has a heart and desire that can only be rivaled by a few in the history of this sport.

Honestly, I was thinking last night how cool it has been that we got to see this season finish off. KR got at least 1 more win, CW has a couple, so it isn't like it was a runaway ET show. To me, the biggest downside is CR22 finishing without fans in the stands. I hate to say it, but I hope he comes back for more.

You would have to be an Eli hater to not want to see the guy win this one. He has earned it.

More likely in your scenario though is Webb pulling out a miracle than Kenny. The magician.

I've been rooting for Roczen since the beginning of the season...but I honestly think the chips are too stacked against him, especially with this latest physical issue. With shingles, you can be fine one day...in pain the next. Not a great thing trying to put points together against a rider like Tomac who hardly ever sucks.

I've gotta be that guy. Nobody earns it nor deserves it until they have an insurmountable points lead. It looks like Eli and Kaw have beaten their past demons at this point but there are still two races left. Anything is possible but it is very probable that ET3 finally takes home a SX crown.

You are right...he has to 'earn it' two more races or maybe one more.

But I was more talking about a crazy crash causing a DNF, injury, or the bike breaks.

That would be pretty brutal for the guy based on all his trials and tribulations over the years in SX.

Especially considering all the wins he has. We shall see!

high temp in Salt Lake today is to be 64 degrees...that's good for Kenny.

Remember the Worldcup football (where you play the ball with your feet. Sometimes called soccer) the last 50 years. All those countries playing against each other. And in the end . . . ze Germans wins.
It's a persistent people. And i know, i live next to them Smile

So yes. Kenny absolutely can win this serie. And if so ... he deserved it.

Now you did it!

The rabid fans heads just went ****POP*********

I'm honestly hoping for a Tomac DNF tonight. I want to see this come down to a tight 3 way title chase...down to the last turn.

(obligatory, this is not Tomac hate....I just want it all to be exciting to the last drop)
