Pre-warning, I'm a jack of all trades for my job but a master of none...so I apologize for the video ahead of time but I think it's still a decent piece to watch.

I got to chat with Kenny about his crash, breaking down what happened and if it compares to his Monster Cup crash. We talk about the bike and what he's changed with his setup to counteract this...along with the change from KYB to Showa. The recovery and what he's had to adapt to on the bike also came up, and how his off-season prep has been...click the link for the whole thing!

Very Kool to see him back on the bike & putting in some laps. Anticipating that he will podium at A1.

I like Kenny. I will prefer he wins than Eli.
Ken touched on the fact he previously used softer suspension and, although he holds his hands up to the fault of the crash, he makes a point that the soft sussy didn't help in the outcome. Now he's on Showa he's riding much stiffer.

The skeptic in me overthinks things sometimes..... maybe, just maybe Ken feels KYB led him down a path of going soft assuring him it was ok... Now Ken realises KYB could have or more so should have known better. Hence the lack of trust and move to Showa?

Like I say, just me overthinking.

KYB or Showa the result will be the same.

Keep dreaming.

The real question is how many races he will need to get over the bars.

Comeon...
He has been unlucky a few times in Supercross but it's not like he's known for riding over his head and crashing out.

When he missed Daytona in 2015 after his injured ankle, that was the first pro race that he had ever missed since turning pro at age 15 in Europe.
Before his crash at A2 last season I'm sure he's one of the guys with the least missed races over the last years among the top guys. Maybe second only to Dungey

"riding over his head and crashing out"

Well, that's debatable.

Well, that's debatable.

It's also debatable whether the antipathy one has for a certain rider can have bad influence on logical thinking

Your signature says "positive attitude"...clearly you've lost that...

And the majority of your posts make your likes and dislikes obvious. Likes: Eli Tomac... Strongly Dislikes: Ken Roczen.

I'm just glad he was able to clarify what happened in the crash at MEC & A2. The internet experts were blaming the Honda chassis. It's good to hear it from the actual person involved in the crash vs. some person on the internet who has no knowledge of the outcome.

Agreed . I'm very happy that Ken first and foremost didn't lose his arm and secondly that he is still able to pursue his livelihood... BUT , I've never been a fan and see no reason to start now. I hope he gets served up a heaping helping of humble pie wink ... Really I just want to see some good racing.

I see both Roczen and Seely were using hydraulic clutches.

Yes, but you are at least from Texas, so you always have that. Close though, Catsup/Ketchup, same thing.

Man , he looks like a completely different rider from what we saw about 2 months ago. Definitely looks to be back on form , or real close to it. Good luck Kenny!

And there goes Jeffro. One of God's own prototypes. A super high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

You realize people from all over the world use the same sign Kenny did , as it's saying " Rock on! ".....has nothing to do with the longhorns. Unless you're a longhorn fan , which Kenny is from Germany and probably doesn't even know who the longhorns are.....right?

Kenny is not really a German (i m even more German than him) he is from Belorussia. Roczen doesn't sounds really german tongue

I did not know that. Thanks for that info. Kind of a bummer for me though , since I have a lot of German in me. Grand pap's moved here in the mid 30's from Germany.....right before the shit hit the fan.

I was hoping Ken would slowly regain full range of motion in the elbow and wrist or close to it, but doesn't seem like he can by the sounds of it. I don't how the hell he's gunna be able to push Tomac's pace outdoors with that wrist unsure

|

12/16/2017 11:29 AM

Hopefully its still improving. With injuries like that though people usually never get 100% rom back. People also usually never get even close to where he is now though either. All racers have major injuries at some point Im sure Tomacs shoulders arent 100% either you just have to adapt. Kenny has to do the same and hell be fine, luckily its not his throttle hand or he probably would have had to retire.
