Can't believe this was only 4 years ago. Is there a part 2?

good video, crazy how he was throwing that 125 around at 12 yrs old. From what I gathered, Lupino won, Roczen was second and Tomac got third in the second moto but unmentioned in the first?

Yeeeeah! That's my hometrack! I was working as an english translator for the officials at that race! It was the junior world championships 2006 in Vantaa, Finland.

I remember that Roczen holeshot every moto he attended and Tomac seemed to have a lots of trouble with starts that weekend. He would have been the fastest laptime-wise.

Cool weekend. It's a bummer that they over-watered the track by the request of the FIM officials and many kids found them self in the hospital that weekend. A japanese 250f -rider crashed in a step-up in the first practice and broke his tibia. Not the greatest trip to FInland for him...

I suppose you've already seen this:

Junior World Championships Music Video

Tomac's Suzuki sounds pretty crisp...

Where is Lupino nowadays?

Lupino made the 2010 MXDN Team for Italy with Cairoli and Philippaerts so he must be a pretty handy rider.

Not sure of individual results.

2010 MX2 - World Championship Classification

Pos.2 Roczen Ken with 574 Points

Pos.14 Lupino Alessandro with 193 Points

That's how they developed since then.

Just think McGrath didn't start riding moto till he was 14! Scary to think how much Roczen is going to progress in the next 5 years.
