Such a freak accident.. could of been worse if his hand got through into the sprocket.
He’s played it safe all year only for this momentary lapse of judgement to wreck his season. Hope he is all good and prepared for MX, will be good to see what he can do on a Honda outdoors.

Damn really sucks he out for sx. He was riding within himself all year than one lil mistake and know his hand is junk . bummed for him he was probaly gonna win soon too

I had three incisions just to repair three broken metacarpals...let alone the thumb and ligament damage they mentioned in their update.

Unlike a few in this thread who would rather talk about DV's analysis, or Webbs GF or RJ's injury or be negative in his injuries I will say heal up soon Kenny, I hope you are back on the track at 100% for Nationals, all the best champ.

You my friend are 100% on the money. I had/have a very bad injury to my right hand, almost the same as he has described, but I also shattered my scaphoid, and my hand didn't look that bad after surgery.
As soon as I saw the photo, I thort what kind of butcher is his surgeon.
I also have three scars, back of the hand, palm and side, for the k wires.
No chance what so ever that he is back in 8 weeks.

The better doctors open everything up so that they don’t miss anything and have more room to work.

Almost feel sorry for Honda. They finally pony up the big money for one of the world’s greats, and it hasn’t gone well.

Ok, the butcher comment was a bit much, but a bit of a joke too. I'm sure his surgeon is awesome, I was more talking about the stitches, which the surgeon probably didn't even do.
I have huge respect for Roczen, I even forwarded his crash footage and surgery story from the first injury to my surgeon.
This is one of my incisions, and I understand every injury is different, but I still don't think he will be back in 8 weeks.

I was really rooting for him this year. To come back from what happened last year was amazing and I was hoping for a few wins this year. Just hope he can heal up and make it back on track whenever he is ready.

Does it make people feel better when they provide a completely irrelevant and uninformed opinion about medical scenarios and recovery times? I just don't understand.

"I had my hand cut open once. It didn't look that bad. That surgeon sucks. KR is done." Vitards is too nice of a word.
