Keefer's teammate? Matthes led MotoConcepts Honda may have a second rider..

My guess is McAdoo, if he doesn't have a permanent outdoor ride by Vegas. His current contract with Geico Honda is SX only. He's been under Steve's wing already, and raced for MCR before. Even though this Matthes led MCR effort is only for the first two rounds of Outdoors, that could be all the exposure McAdoo needs to secure a ride elsewhere..

I think it’s cool MCR is doing this with Keefer and Matthes but is there a reason why they’re all of a sudden doing the first 2 Nationals? Why those but not the series?

Probably because they'll get as much advertising mileage out of these novelty races as they would running the whole series

Both races pretty close to each other just a few hours apart? Makes sense to do first two

That's as close as races get to each other in the West.

1) MCR doesn’t do outdoors, these two races are just an exception since Genova is cool like that.
2) Kris Keefer is 41yrs old... He’s in great shape and is a talented rider, but I think just making the 40 man field is his goal... anything beyond that is icing on the cake. Matthes said Keefer’s son Aiden has never seen him race before - so that’s a major reason why Keefer is doing this.

I know if i was racing in front of my kid that would be alot of motivation to twist that throttle!

How much is this costing MCR ?

Seems like they are getting more exposure for this than an entire year of SX. I cant wait to see what happens.

MCR, Tony and Mike has really turned it around.
Years back I had the same view as probably everyone else about that team with everything that happened with Jeff, Mike and all that laser stuff.
I´m ashamed now because they´ve really shown that they´re a great team, with great bikes and does stuff for the right reasons.

Mike Genova is no dummy. He knows the 20,000-30,000 grand it'll cost for the two weekends are worth the same as racing the whole season in exposure.

Oh, and it'll be ARay on the other bike.

I really don't think Valentin Guillod is on the MCR radar for a two race PR stunt in the US outdoors.

Trey Canard would probably put it in the top 10 straight off the couch. If it's ARay then the team parts budget just went up by a fair bit for this stunt. There's atleast a couple extra subframes, bars and clutches per race weekend
