Being the leaders in the 4 stroke revolution at the time, they must have been well aware the YZ250 was in its final years on the pro scene.
It sounds as if the riders were pretty vocal about preferring the steel frame 04, yet they all had to ride the 05.
They could have held off the frame switch for the 06 season when the team was using the 450?
Who knows if it would have made any difference to the season's outcome, but it's interesting to think about
