We have all witnessed Kevin's incredible talent before, but tonight he just put an exclamation mark on what we already knew. He was hauling it out there tonight, and I think he was still getting faster before the crash.

I know Reed got the win, RV got his #1 plate, Dungey proved his title from last year was legit, but along with all that cool stuff Kdub reminded us he is one of the baddest mofos to ever race a dirt bike.

K-dub always gets the short end of the stick.

Lost out at 2 good chances for wins this season.

And always get shafted out of the 1st spot in the championship.

Was awesome watching Windham ride that hard. Was so bummed when he crashed. The Windham legacy continues....

Kevin still has it to pull one off.
I too, believe he was getting inside of James' head. Windham looked very strong & technical before going down.
That was a bummer James went down. I wanted to see if KDub could get by James.
The more technical the track...the better Windham does!

My heart broke when he went down tonight. I thought that as soon as JS did the quad/triple it was over, but k-dub watched, learned, and adapted. It looked like #14 was the Fastest Man on the Planet for several laps leading up to the take down.

Really sucks for Kevin, and its hard not to feel bitter towards JS. He's taken down several guys this year with his crashes. Seriously, maybe he's hit his head one too many times and it's affecting his on-track judgement?

So does K-Dub rule out the theory that Stewart can do things that no one else can? He stepped right up after JS did the quad-triple and manged to be just as fast while still being in control of his bike.

K'dub was a beast tonight. Maybe the fastest I have ever seen him ride. In the heats James ran a 1:01 CR22 1:02 everyone else 1:03's .. In the main KW, CR22, and RD1 all matched JS7 exactly with 1:01.9's . RV2 ran one 1:01.7.. You can expect the others to possibly step-up that hard in the main but It was incredible seeing KW step up like that. He is the man!

Kevin Windham is a rider I look up to and I felt bad for him when he went down!

He is a fighter for sure!

I hope he sticks with racing for another year or two...... If he retires, I personally think it's well deserved!!

No matter what happens, KW is a true warrior!!

With a race in New Orleans next year, I gotta believe that Kdub will be back. The sport needs him out there.

The awesome thing is, he will be there next year again, to give us more!

He's awesome, for sure, just one of his toughest years in a long time.

I didn't have words when I saw him go down. He had the speed to win tonight. He would have lit the world on fire had he done it. Good job K-Dub, your the man.

I like Reedy a lot, but IMO Windham took the W tonight. I hope he races Washougal, can't wait to see him race again.

i haven't seen K-Dub ride that good since 97'........ like he knew he was gonna beat the best in the world.... and he totally threw caution to the wind..... good for him....... wish we saw this K-Dub every weekend..... maybe after all these years he's tired of finishing 5th.... and he proved tonight that Stew hasn't progressed the sport nearly as much as some say he has.... and perhaps proved that if RC were to get back into shape he'd still be crushing the field......

You basically just contradicted yourself. You wish he had threw caution to the wind every weekend, but you condemn Stewart for doing just that.

Typical.

K-Dub is the fucking man! I was standing and shouting when I saw him matching Stewart like that. Guy is unreal. I have a man crush on the guy. Shame him and Stewart went down. That was really exciting to watch.

His tranfer was a sight to behold, watched him prepping it in practise, amazing. He was definitely coming back on James when he got clipped. Hard crash too. Really sucked.

This gets my vote for best thread of the night!
Thank you sir. It just was incredible to see how he was stepping it up with every lap. Adapting to the track and finding the best line, watching what James was doing and throwing it down, riding that high speed section on the inside despite the blue groove!

I hope Kevin races the Nationals because I want to look him up at Freestone and thank him for making that race one of the most exciting ever.

It's kinda good that he didn't win. The rioting of the fans in celebration would've made the sport look bad.

When K-ub threw caution to the wind, he was as fast as Stewart and under control. When JS7 throws caution to the wind, the track is littered with fallen riders besides himself.

Kdubs the man! So awesome to see him riding like that and matching stewarts lines and was so bummed when he went down hitting stewarts downed bike. His transfer in opening ceremonies was so ridiculous as well.
