So kawis get discounted massively before the years even over every year. In wv theres a dealer with 17 kx450s for 5800 brand new and 18s for 6300.

I cant wait till the 19s come out and are ground up new bikes. Will a left over kx be 4800?? Ill have to grab one if so lol

ridersville?

He is the lowest dealer for buying a Kawi in the country from what he has told me, and seeing his prices I would believe it.

Yeah, Ridersville has the best deals on Kawis I’ve found. They had 17 KX250Fs for sale last fall for $5000 out the door.

Can’t wait to see the production 19 450.

I’m buying an 18 kx250f next month. $6050 OTD. A fair price for a good bike if you ask me. It’s the only reason I can get a new bike. I applaud Kawasaki and Suzuki for their prices. Without that, I wouldn’t be able to get one.

Their retail prices are as high as the others they just can't seem to sell them so they get discounted.

Out in my area, every bike that isn't orange or white is discounted and have been for the last few months. Doesn't do anything good for the used bike seller though. Had to let me 14 yz450 go for $3800 and it was still all stock other than an fmf pipe. 38 hours. It was by far the cleanest one on craigslist. A local dealer has used 15 yz450's at $4400 and 16's at $5000

Yeah I know Pinch but it feels good to buy a brand new bike for a good price. Although that discounted price is what the retail should be if you ask meSmile

I’m shopping around for a new 450, and nearly pulled the trigger on a Husky FE the other day. Luckily it sold before I could get a deposit down, because I think I might have regretted spending 11k on a bike.

I am VERY tempted to buy a 18 KXF for 6k, throw some cone valves on it, a pipe, and some cams and be styling for 9k

I wish Kawi would make a KX 125 or 250 again. I would be all over it. Sad

I was just shopping around a bit, all you need to do is look at ebay to find 18 models @ $6k. I also found a few 17 models around $5800. yes, these are new at the dealer, no extra fees

How is that idiotic triple air fork working for ya now, Kawasaki? I am certain that the blowout prices we have seen on Kaw 450's for the last few years are directly attributable to the air fork, which is a pain in the butt that nobody i know personally or have spoken to wants to mess with

The fork is a little extra work, but it's not that difficult. It's also pretty simple and very externally adjustable if you do a little research.

They absolutely freaking suck. Period. Sorry. Tried a billion settings and hated every thing about it.

You don't have to apologize to me. They work just fine for me. Vet expert 220 lbs 30 years racing experience. Maybe you're a smaller guy, but I have minimal complaints about the fork.

I know the setting are different between the kawi and Suzuki, but my dad loved his 15 rmz forks and loves his 17 forks as well. Enzo set them up and he wouldn’t change them one bit. 53 year old 50+ expert

Love my air fork after SKF glide kit, SKF Oil/Dust seals, racetech gold valve and valving. They perform better than the Ohlins RXF48 forks I had the opportunity to test on my bike.

Usually kawi does the 450 for a year and then releases a new 250. So yes 2020 is the most likely release year for a 250

I really don't care if the air fork works well once you spend some time learning it and setting it up. The Yamaha fork works better right out of the box, no bullshit involved, no screwing your gay little pump on in three different locations to check pressure every time you ride, no special seals and wipers required. The air forks have all but sunk sales of japanese bikes in the GNCC/GP/off road world. Good on Yamaha for not jumping on the stupid bandwagon.

I have an older Kawasaki in the garage now with Kayaba first gen air forks, which are so poorly thought out it really blows my mind. Pre ride routine: replace fork seals, remove air plug, thread in adapter. thread on pump, pump up fork. remove pump. remove adapter. replace cap. proceed to the next fork and repeat the entire procedure. That is, unless you like your bars in the forward mounts. In that case you can pencil in "remove handlebars" before all the check plug and threading in an out of adapter and pump. So lame, what a stupid , poorly thought out way to cut a few pounds

I'm torn between an 18' or 19' KX250F. I test rode a 18' and loved the bikes chasis and motor, but IMO those SFF forks are garbage. If the 19' is coming with dual spring forks, if ti just workth it to bit the bullet and go for one of them.

I was at a bike shop yesterday in St Louis who had a 18 kx450 with a PC pipe and Monster graphics signed by Tomac for 7k.

I had that bike, bought the works connection adapters to avoid that hassle.

Loved the bike, much more than my current SXF. Those bars though...they were pretty good unless you had to do a 30 min moto in the heat, in that case you would start the moto with pressure at 2'4 and end it at 2'8 with your arms like puré. The newer generations of air forks work around 10 psi so small changes are not THAT noticeable

I've tried selling my '16 KX450 with 34 hours on it and it's as clean as one on the showroom floor for $5k and haven't gotten any bites at all.
Figured I'd hang on to it before I gave it away.

Yeah, at the prices I see 16 KX450Fs going for, I’m gonna keep mine until the wheels fall off it. Not worth selling it and taking a big hit. It’s an excellent bike, and now that I have Kayaba spring forks on it, I feel the only thing I’m giving up to the other brands is E-start. But it’s always been easy to start anyway. I still get a little jelly when my buddy fires up his 450 Factory Edition though.

On another note anyone got the inside scoop of when Kawi is unveiling these. ML dropped a hint on pulp that it was going to be very early in the outdoor season, at a place that they have never done before
