Just finished reading the interview with AC on the Racer X website and the question was brought up about being friends with Ken and being Eli's teammate.

AC basically said it's up to them and he's focusing on trying to win and to do the best for himself.

The crux of the matter is that Kawasaki's primary goal is the Championship.

I have a feeling that behind closed doors in the Kawa Semi there will be a different script.

At this point in the season the points race is tight and I can't see Kawa allowing AC to take points off Eli. I think going into SLC and I'm guessing....speculating here that the script will be written in Eli's favour.

Can't wait to see how this plays out. Adam will race Ken but I can see him having to abide to the "Let Eli Bye" deal.

What do you guys think?

I wonder if savatgy reaches out to AC to offer his opinion on handing eli a win.

I would not find it scandalous at all. When 20 or 30 people in a team work for a championship, it is 100% normal when comes crush time that everyone should work for that goal. AC is really smart, he may win a couple mains but he won't ruin Tomac's chances either, nor he will lack of sportmanship by taking Roczen out. It is gonna be clean.

Hey Boom......My opinion is , there is still quite a few rounds left , if things go as planned. I'm not so sure team orders would be in place at this time. I may be wrong , but maybe some of those " team orders " could come into effect with about 3 - 4 rounds to go. Right now?......I could possibly see a lot of guy's , being extremely hungry and wanting to just do the best they can. BUT......also trying to stay healthy for the outdoors if they think they might be out of the picture for SX. Just my honest opinion.

At least neither of them are up against the massive KTM/husky squad which is like half the field

Smartest thing for AC is to do his own thing and whatever happens happens. At the end of the day eli needs to beat ken more than ken beats eli to win. AC shouldn't sway results either way.

So if Ken is in front, AC second and Tomac third in the up coming round it would mean Ken takes the red plate off Eli......or AC backs off and lets Eli get 2nd resulting in a tie in points.

In my mind I'm convinced there will be team orders....even with 7 rounds to go.

I see the same scenario play out as it did with Dungey and Musquin. We’re Musquin intentionally made a mistake to let Dungey by for the win. It’s funny how he try to play it off, he did not fool anyone.

No question Adam let’s Tomac by, the question is... will he let RocZen by or race him extra hard?

As Tomac's teammate and one of Roczen's best friends, Cianciarulo better do his own thing to avoid headache...

You're deluded if you think that Kawi wont have a plan for this scenario. If Tomac needs a spot on the track, they will want AC to give it to him. Whether AC acts on it is a different question.

Does anyone honestly think if Brayton gets a good start he won't be under the same orders? One of the widest bikes in the field is under the HRC tent.

I would like to be a fly on the wall during those team meetings. They will be discussing all possible scenarios and Adam will be key as he has the ability to run up front.

Ken on the other hand does not have the luxury of a teammate who can gun for a podium. Brayton and Mookie will race the Kawa guys hard but not dirty. Who knows with Vince and his recent string of good starts...he has a reputation....

I think back to the one round where AC was clearly going to get 2nd place behind ET, then he crashed in the whoops with like 5-7 laps to go. AC has been quick, but he has also been on the ground a lot. I could be wrong, but I don't see this being a major issue. Sure, it has the potential to affect the championship, but I don't believe it will.

For Eli's sake I hope he does not need assistance to win this title

I really dont think AC has any choice other that to support Eli. Kinda like being stuck between a rock and a hard spot.

Serious question--has Eli had a problem passing AC this year? I don't recall a race specifically, so I'm asking how likely this scenario will even be.

AC is going to ride his own race for the next 5 rounds is my best guess. Then in the last 2 rounds he avoids getting into the fray as much as possible. The bigger threat/challenger/unknown in this is Webb, not AC.

And if during his own race he is directly in front of Eli, you don't think Kawa will switch them?

From the Team manager right up to the Japanese dude behind the big desk will swop them.

Its going to be interesting as someone above mentioned Webb. What ever happens I think we gonna be in for a treat.

I was thinking more like Eli's out front. AC's in 2nd, Roczen is in 3rd and breathing down AC's neck. If they cross the line, ET gains quite a few points.

Does AC let his best friend by or does he block?

Maybe Webb will cause a first turn pile-up from which ET and KR don't make it back or BOTH DNF, Webb wins 3 races in a row, and it's all a moot Q.

Gonna be interesting, whatever happens.

I can’t see Kawi telling AC to let Eli by. AC is the future, the kid is just as popular as Tomac already and he is a rookie. He brings attitude, social media, and most of all speed. AC and simply go elsewhere for as much money if he chooses. Savatgy didn’t have the sway AC does

Team orders in this scenario?

If I was AC in this scenario, I'd ride to win. If ET passes me, no fight. There would also be a startling lack of fight if Roczen passed, though. 😆

so i think I can figure this out for everyone.

OK… First I’ll access the secret military spy satellite that’s in a geosynchronous orbit over the Midwest. Then, I’ll ID the Kawasaki team rig and get its approximate position. Then, I’ll reposition the transmitter dish on the remote truck to 17.32 degrees east, hit WESTAR 4 over the Atlantic, bounce the signal down into the Azores, up to COMSAT 6, beam it back to SATCOM 2 transmitter number 137, and down on the dish on team semi… It’s almost too easy!

then we will totally know if there are team tactics.... totally!

AC will do what's best for the team. AC is next in line to take over the #1 spot once Tomac retires.

He may also need help later in his career.

The weight is on Tomac and I'm almost expecting him to have a real bad race in this first one.
