Kawasaki 7 New Offroad Models 2021

I'm in this camp. Sure I wish it had a larger tank... but if the suspension is good, it has E-start, hydraulic clutch, 18" tires, a rudimentary skid plate, mapping for low end/mid/off-road... I'm pretty happy about that. The only thing I'm going to add is a tank and no OEM has hand guards I'd use.

On my KTM 150 XC-W, I added:

skidplate- didnt' even have one!!! $120
ProBend handguards- gave the stock ones to my son for his SX- $125
Kreft RC suspension- $1400 there
Lectron carb after spending WAY too much time with the Mikuni- $500

That's ON TOP of an $8500 "Ready to Race" bike.

So, if the KX250F has good stuff... I'm seeing $1900 less stuff (Kreft and Lectron) that I need to buy to make it work. I'm happy to see a KX with E-start, H-clutch, softer and newer suspension, and 18" wheel.

I’m sure the XC models will be awesome for what they’re designed for. Also, the belleville spring clutch should be a step in the right direction (KTM’s clutch makes Japanese clutches look like amateur hour). They’ll probably sell the crap out of these. And now we get to see another color in the magazine XC tests!

I was being critical of the XC models yesterday, but that’s probably because I was hoping for something a little different. The MX models are fantastic bikes and no doubt the XC models will be as well!

It's 2020, so.....

Anyone heard when we can expect the new XC models in dealerships?

Stiller Motorsports in Kittanning Pa has 2 450xc
