In the RacerX article one of the guys had this to say....

"There’s still obvious buzz around Kailub. He’s retired, sure, but he hasn’t ruled out lining up on row one at some GNCC’s here and there. Something tells me he's a little more focused on ... how do I put this? Being outdoors right now."

Would be good to see him line up, he was fast the last time he lined up outdoors for sure.

That's been the rumor for a while now. Lining up to race the 250 nationals.

He has been running the sprint enduro series and has had rumors about trying to really focus on ISDE events across the globe.

I hope he is able to heal up and be healthy and confident. Would try my best to support him and watch in other events. It's hard to imagine the GOAT of GNCC not being there, but really looking forward to that XC1 class this weekend and seeing what happens.

I hope so. The man won GNCC overall on a 150 2stroke. Real life badass.

I’d bet he would focus on doing 1 off events this year instead of committing to a full series of any kind

I don't have social media, so I don't know if he's done well and already healed up or had any other help fixing his knee. During the GNCC season he had some issues:

I understand what your saying but the ISDE is one event. Talk of him staying up to speed with hopes of still being on the US Team

Usually a guy retires from MX and races GNCC afterward. Love to see Russell going the opposite way!

He won the Aussie MX championship on a 500 as well. Lots of cool stats with Wattsy. He’s a character for sure, he’s been my house guest a few times. The man can eat😂

He's been back riding. He rode Winter AM race at Dade City a few weeks back on a 250, looked good but field was a little unusually thin, but still went 1-1-2-1 between 250A/450A classes. Means nothing in the long term; still will be fun to watch and good on KTM for making it happen.

Pretty sure that one year he won a race on every Displacement bike they made....

Anybody remember how that went down for certain?

Hopefully under the tent.

The guy is 100% a marquee athlete for KTM, they should do it right for him.

Do you think he'll get a salary? If so, will it be more or less than his previous GNCC salaries. Just curious..

Can easily see some top tens. He was training with the Baker guys, and said himself that he trained for GNCC by riding moto. If we get a mudder, I would consider him a favorite for the win.

I'm 100% sure he's getting a salary and I'd bet that minus the race/championship bonuses, he didn't take a pay cut.

KTM released a bike in his honor, they are gonna take care of him.

Hell, some would argue KR is responsible for selling more KTMs than the Moto/SX team and they might have legitimate argument?

I would 100% believe that. He’s a bad dude that other manufacturers would have loved to had for the last decade.

Can you imagine if he won everything on a Kawi?

JMART still the clear cut favorite and it’s not even close. Excited to see how KR does. 250 class is gnarly!

I think he'll do better than some think. On the other hand, he's going to be racing kids looking to make a name and some veterans of the class that have been at it all their life. It's not going to be easy. Do you think Forkner will be cool with be being beat by an off-road guy? He was quick when he raced Unadilla in the mud until he crashed and got hurt. I'm definitely curious how he'll do.

I don't think so either. What I was getting at is, guys like Forkner will race him extra hard because of Kailub's background.

I think he will be hovering around the 10-14 position. The MX boys are fast...

The last time Forkner raced outdoors was 2018 and he finished 7th in the standings with only 1 podium in 12 races. I don't know if Russell will beat him or not, but it wouldn't put money on it either way.

KR is like "Forkner who? Never heard of her? Does she ride or have any championship?"

Be certain of death, taxes and that AF might beat KR in a few races but that's as much as he could ever beat KR.

Y’all are way to high on kailub outdoors. I’ve followed his entire career, even before he was pro. He never really raced moto and a kid, Tina wouldn’t let him. He will be in the points but no top tens unless it’s muddy, kailub is also what 31-32. His conditioning for woods riding was good but it was his never say die mind set that got him those championships.

Again I love what kailub did at Gncc, but if you think that success will transfer your high.

IM NOT TRYING TO SLIGHT DISS KR! He’s my guy
