Any word yet? It should be this week I believe.
I spoke to a few dealers this week and they are all saying the same thing. Just sometime in August. At this point I am a bit doubtful it will even be August if they don't have a shipping date yet.

We were originally told last Friday it would be in.

I'm in the same boat! Just sold my 17 yz450 and thinking about going back to a 250f. I really liked the fit and finish of my YZ plus it was a super solid bike. My 15 kx250f was also a great. I never could really gel with the handling of my YZ. I tried everything. I eventually got it to handle okay but it always felt like a pig in the corners. Seems like the newer generations bikes are better but the general opinion is they handle "decent" and still feel like the previous generation models to a certain extent. That leads me to maybe the new kx or a 21 crf250

I can assure you a new yz250f would handle leaps and bounds better than your 17 450, and feel a lot lighter as any 250f would comparatively. I just rode my buddies 2020 last weekend and it’s a damn good machine all around. Personally I’m going with the kx over the yz because I feel the ergonomics will be more comfortable, and want that stronger mid to top end.
That's the only thing holding me back from the new YZ. I worry its going to feel like a top heavy tank like my 17.

The step forward from that generation of the YZF to the current generation is huge. I fully understand why you would hesitate on getting a new Yamaha with your 2017 experience in mind.

Try to ride a newer 250f if you can, they have them dialed now. I couldn’t stand the previous gen 250 or 450 either. I’ll keep you guys posted If I hear anything this week about the kx, really hoping it comes in !

Good to know! In my area 70% of the 250f at the track are always yz250fs.

I'm also wondering about this. I've tried to find the parts scheme for the 2021 but haven't been able to find it and compare it to the 19-20.

Just had one local dealer tell me the kx250 is shipping the last week in August to have 1st week in September. Hoping some of the higher volume dealers see better than that

It doesn’t, a lot of stuff won’t fit the new KX250. It also has the 450 front axle so front wheel won’t fit either. Clutch cover won’t fit, clamps will fit with a stem change, gear lever fits and water pump covers fit

I was just quoted $7,502 cash “out the door” for the ‘21 Kx250.

That is a cracking deal. I still haven't seen the MSRP of the bike here in little Finland.

I really hope that there will be demo days in the fall because i really want to try one!

$7600 OTD for my YZ250F out of Maryland. Still waiting, dealer said his system is saying there is a delay for some reason. As it stands right now he’s the the complete 21 YZ lineup except the 250F.

I put a deposit on one but my total was $8k. Our local bike market sucks...the local Honda shop is trying to sell a 2019 CRF250R for $8900 and told me they would cut me a deal and go down to $8500. So dumb lol

i had to pay $8200 OTD for a 2020 Yz250F a week or so ago. It's the only one and the best deal i could find locally. Can't wait to see the new KX......i have the 450 and it's one of my favorite all time bikes. As a 250F it's going to be great

The 2020 is a solid bike, mine has 15 hours and no trouble at all. It looks like the 21 keeps the top end from the 20 so I’m really excited for it. With some adjustment I love the 2020, I put a vortex, No Toil super flo kit, torq drive and a pc pipe, I added 1 tooth to the rear, lowered the footpegs and fitted ODI RC4 bend bars and it’s a fantastic bike. Now electric start has been added I think this bike will be amazing
All new top end
