The bike is so new that there probably aren’t any aftermarket parts available yet. I would imagine that almost everyone on the starting line at a Supercross is running an aftermarket clutch like Hinson or Rekluse just for stronger engagement.

Some clutch plates are breaking in the 21, 2020 plates are the fix, just fibres the steels are ok

Do you know if these 2021's are burning up clutches like some of the older kx250f's did?
Not burning them up just cracking the plates so I’m told

Just a heads up. If you break a clutch plate on a Kawasaki make sure you clean the internal oil screen or it may plug and starve the pump.

I tried my bike with a PC pipe for the first time yesterday, what a difference! I’m so happy with my 21

Did you leave the screen in? I noticed it did lose some off idle throttle response but I haven’t tried it without it.
Yeah I left the screen in, I found mine had a bit more off the bottom with the PC.

I tried an extra tooth on the rear but hated it, I found the pipe to make it perfect. I want to try the Chavez map that Keefer talks about but I’m pretty happy already, I think it’s a great bike

I did when I checked and I’d recommend draining the oil.. I laid the bike on its side and still ended up getting a bit of oil into the water pump area. I flushed the system out like 5 times.

Got my vortex from twisted today and just put it on. Can’t wait to try it out 🤪 the bike sounds pissed now with that and the pc pipe

how do you like it power & handling wise compared to the yamaha, you said you have both right?
We do have both, but have only ridden the KX thru the break in and now have it apart to do the suspension. The Yam is mine and the KX is my son's, I weigh 160 and he's 100lbs so hard to make comparisons, plus my 250 is pretty built.
I will say the KX feels a lot lighter and skinnier than the Yam. Hopefully we'll be having some good battles soon.

We paid 8k

Best price I've been quoted so far was 7800 OTD. Maybe I'll make a trip to MD for a few days, Been wanting to ride budds creek again anyways!

Thanks for everyone sending there prices, nuts how last year ppl were buying them as low as 6k to 7k

Easiest way to tell is 21 pipes are rubber mounted

Is anyone running an aftermarket air filter? I like the extra lip around the stock filter to help keep it from pulling off the cage when you squeeze it into the airbox. I don’t like how the cage bottoms out on the center mount before the outer ring makes contact with the sealing surface.

Twin air is all I have used. The twin ear has no tabs for the stock cage tho

I have a couple. A twin air(which I prefer) and I also bought the no toil backfire screen eliminator kit. Not too happy with the way the no toil filter fits on the cage, it wants to come off as you slide the filter into the air box. The no toil cage seems like it seals a bit better but I agree with you, it seems like the cage should sea around the intake a little better, I ended up buying the PC racing rim seal and it seas much better now.

We have also used twin air for many years and I bought one for this bike as soon as I got it. I haven’t used it yet, still trying to get comfortable with this set up.

I forgot about the rim seals, I may try that. Thanks for mentioning it.

I run the no toil no screen cage with a twin air filter and a PC rim seal and never have any problems.

I think the majority are. If it was a lot with the problem they would probably do a recall
