So that’s where they all are. Guess the East Coast doesn’t get any? Makes sense, the southeast is only the biggest hot bed of MX on the planet.

My dealer received 16 KTM’s last year on their order of 65. This year isn’t looking any different. All 23 model year bikes they order will be sold before the 2023 year. I get needing to help the big guys but the smaller mom and pop shops that built this sport are getting smoked by this top 20% = 80% plan.

A lot of bikes dropped in the last 2 weeks. We were pretty low on product but have some units to sell. We burned thru most of the early units. Still don't have a lot of the new generation bikes. They have sold pretty much as they have come in.

I just picked up a 2023 KTM250sxf and it was MSRP + fees. As I called around some dealers had crazy fees so I settled on the lower fees. dealer.

Agree 100%, my local dealer that I've dealt with for over 10yrs is a small KTM/Kawi dealer. They are only getting four new 2stks this year and none of them are SX's. When I say "new" I mean the SX/XC redesign. He requested a 250 and 300 SX and got nothing. He's getting one 250 XC (mine) and three 300 XC's (two are already pre sold). Sad that KTM was built on the small mom/pop dealers across the country back in the 80's/90's, now they are shitting on them because they think they don't hold any value. They want the bigger dealerships like Mountain Motorsports to get all their inventory. F that I'll never deal with Mountain Motorsports again. Bought a new 250XCF from them when it was redesigned in '16 and I'll never buy anything from them again. Was a total shit show.

It was an SXF.

My friend owns a Yamaha/KTM Dealership, he said he was getting two 350s. I asked him in May "hey, how many people are on the waitlist for a new 350." To my surprise he said I would be the first person. So I jumped on it. Said they usually sell 40+ YZ450Fs per year but they're only getting one or two KTM 450s. Crazy!

The day I picked my 350 up he said he had just sold a SxS for $38k. I guess that is the way shoips will make it now.

My buddy owns the dealer and I’ve been a customer for 20+ years. My career is at an all time high right now so I was ok with MSRP OTD on a 2023 350SXF. This is the only 23 350SXF he is getting this year. He didn’t charge me a ton in fees but he does have to support his overhead from only receiving 16 bikes. I understand that and I was cool with it. I also have a deposit on a 2023 250XC two stroke and I expect to get the same deal.

Good attitude! Gotta help these guys as best we can. They can't get crazy with the markups but MSRP plus setup/ freight is fine imo

I'm a mom and pop and we got allocated right at 250 units. Your allocations are are based on past sales. I'm not a Mountain Motorsports and only sell the 3 Austrian brands and Beta.

You can’t sell what they won’t give you.

My dealer tried to get Husky a couple years ago, but they gave it to a BMW dealer about 30mins up the road that also sells Beta.

I'm paying MSRP on my 250XC plus a percentage of freight. I don't necessarily think its a smoking deal but its a brand new redesigned bike and I don't expect them to discount it given supply/demand. My dealer is only getting one of them so I don't feel like I'm getting a bad deal just not a great one I guess.

I didn’t look and see what’s -what. Did notice they had a lot of 22’s. Think they had 6 2022 300’s. I was just picking
up a friends bike for him and just was poking around. Last time I was at the shop (1 year ago) the only had 3 bikes total.

Thanks all! It sounds like the market is turning in the right direction but not back to 2019 levels yet. About what I expected.

It's crazy that they have so many dirt bikes in a town where there's no place to ride.

Has anything new opened up in the last few years?

There has been 2 XC250’s that I’ve seen show up in Oregon and another in the Midwest somewhere. There were pics in one of the posts on here. Another in Canada as well. I’m guessing we will start to see more next week, hopefully.
