Moto3 350 how sweet. They have to use a 350cc 4 choke to beat a 125 2 stroke GP bike cuz the 250Fart can't hang with the pinger.

I think face lift is minor design change? They usually do that to cars before model shifts, like keep the main design but new rear and front stuff. Maybe face lift is diff in MX though?

KTM is the shit!

They could have said "Dungey's new bike" next to "New Design & EFI EXC 4 Stroke"

Not likely, changes to EXC have been well documented and besides that the EXC 450 is totally different engine, in a different frame. What they written there is pretty much what everyone knows, updates to frame and styling and EFI for the 250/450 & 500 EXC's.

Hopefully thier intention there is for changes to the SX-F but it's hard to tell when no one is racing one in Europe, while they all thier factory offroad guys are racing injected 2012 EXC's.

Lmfao, yea that's why they're making a 350 RR.

It's actually a 250f. The 350 is just for chasis design.

You do realize that the 250F's are being tested and they are having problems holding together. At reliable power, they are unable to beat the 125 2 strokes. Yeah, I know who you are. I'm just sayin that the class to get rid of the 125 gp bikes will most likely be 300+cc 4 strokes. Not the 250F's because of cost and reliability. But guess we will just have to wait and see.

the rules are out for moto 3 and it is 250cc, with rules on how many engines you can use, and also that the engines must be available for sale for a certain price, Honda has already released there production race bike that replaced the popular RS125

i think they will be slower, but Moto 2 is slower than the 250's were they they replaced, but much more teams involved, and much better racing as well

I'm interested to see where it goes. The basic principle behind the change was to allow more variety and "cheaper" racing. I don't know, but I'm gonna say one engine will still out perform all others. It's always been that way, and always will it seems. I'm waiting to see the "cheaper" part unfold.

With spec engines built to be more "reliable" the laps will always be slower than the likes of WSS or the previous factory backed classes the 4-strokes are replacing. There's really no reason a Moto2 bike should outperform a fully built Supersport machine, the idea was to level the playing field. Because before if you didn't have a factory spec Aprilia you might as well not even show up.

The 125's were cheap at 90k. That's back of the pack price.

The 250f is $33k (or close) for everyone.

Bottom line, they are trying to make it cheaper and even field.

I understand what you are both saying, and agree with the concept. But they could simply make the rules that made the motor more fair on the 125 as easy. They didn't have to reinvent the wheel to make things this way, correct. These 250F's will eventually become what the 125 was. It will gain in cost very rapidly. Just wait and see. I mean, same thing could be said about MX with 125's. At first, the 250F was about the same speed, and I'd say didn't cost much more. But today, ummm way different. I'm just sayin, we've seen it before. This is just a repeat of our industry. The only saving grace, will be if they keep rules that will limit what is done to the motors etc. As soon as they throw that rule out, say goodbye to cheap.
