I'm really close to 'speaking with my wallet.' As one of the 'old guys who sold their 450s for a 125', I've enjoyed this season on the tiddler but I want a little more juice for '18.
I have looked through tests and reviews all over, but I can't find a peak HP number for the 17+ Husky/KTM 250 two strokes. I'm guessing it's around 50? I'm just curious how it compares to the modern crop of 250Fs.
Thanks!

Around 47HP stock and 50+ tuned.
That's also what the Scalvini dyno graphic above shows.
That's more then enough, that thing completely stock pulls like crazy. Love my TC
Btw, I'm a fat old 450 rider, too.

Honestly my hope was that the power was under 50. I love my 125 because I can be aggressive on it. The 450 feels like I spend a lit more time metering throttle. I think the KTHusky 250 2T sounds like an awesome middle ground, and it's still much lighter than any 250F. Fingers crossed, will let you guys know how it all turns out!
Pit Row
bike, not just the motor itself. I wrote a ride report on it, a while ago. Rode it back to back with my big bore 07 450 Zook, which made it more impressive.
