Wow, so two boutique European motorcyle companies wasn't enough, huh? This one is a real head scratcher for me.

Probably for a garage sale price, cheap. Half the parts interchange, Gas Gas frame is a KTM clone.
Torrot has been in e-bikes too.

Not if you consider them buying it for Torrot, not Gas Gas.

With them outsourcing some production from Europe, it is quite possible they also wanted the GG factory though.

KTM should buy an aluminum frame manufacturer.

Unfortunately Gas Gas doesn't not seem to be managed properly for years, so I am quite happy the brand will be in a much better position to stay on the market, to satisfy the customers and many potential customers who for most were worried the brand would disappear.

Wonder if that means so long Kayaba, hello WP? If that's the case, then RIP gas gas

Let's play a game.

It's called "Varna or Berg?". Will Gas Gas have same fate as Husaberg (R.I.P.) or Husqvarna?"

That's over 4 years ago, KDXG.

I wonder if Gas Gas or Torot ( if it's included - BCT being mentioned and the E bike thing implies it ) will survive this?

The Husky is basically the Husaberg now. When KTM eventually acquired both Swedish companies they just changed the stickers on the Husaberg to Husqvarna, as it was a more well known and marketable brand.

Of course that was back in 2015, the last time Gas Gas was on the ropes. They did not want to be saved by KTM, I guess they'd rather be unemployed?

The newest model, that may not have ever made it to full production, the Ranger, a spin off of the Beta X-Trainer niche was very well received. There seems to have been some issues with the enduro range as far as reliability goes. I'm not sure what KTM (or the Perier Group?) has in mind for them, but it sure would be funny to see an E-bike named Gas Gaslaughing

If they changed the name to Cagiva, then I would be onboard grin

And, if you know your Moto history... Husaberg was created during the acquisition of Swedish manufacturer Husqvarna by Italian manufacturer Cagiva. Some Swedish engineers continued with they're developing 4-stroke project and started Husaberg.

The very thought of WP suspension on a Gas Gas Enduro bike is NOT very appealing to me at all.

That's right! The Swedish engineered thumpers lived on a while longer before its inevitable demise. The last few generations of Husaberg were actually great bikes. It was just impossible to bring back the R&D costs in sales competing against the big boys.

There was a few tries after that to design a new Swedish engineered bike. A company very close to me almost gave it a try with this beauty laughing :
