I think more guys should do that. Especially outdoors. A potent 250 at the end of a 30 plus 2 much less tiring than a 450. And all the guys who crushed it on 250s and struggle on 450s should just accept they ride a 250f better.
.could big bore the 250 and make good power.

That's a very expensive way for a privateer to get a bad start and eat roost for the first 25 minutes, just for the sake of being a little less tired for the final few laps.

You can't ride a big bore 250 in the 450 class, the bike has to retain the stock bore and stroke to how the bike is homologated.

Worse starts...expensive to maintain...not a good idea...

The 350 didn't even work too well in its brief stint outdoors here, if I remember correctly it just couldn't keep up. Correct me if I'm wrong.

According to the results sheet, Cole Martinez was on a 250 as well.

Thanks guys! It was pretty cool to qualify out of the heat race! I’m just riding my AJE Motorsports 250 Practice bike as well.

Cole is my teammate, he was on his 450. Must’ve signed up under a 250, but definitely was on a 450!

Further proof that in the end, a 450 really isn't any faster around a track than a 250. RV at the MXdN was a good example in the outdoors.

Not a lurker, I seem to recall he has posted here before. Guy B must have clicked him for something.

The genie is out of the bottle. I am not sure it would make sense to try to slow the 450s down indoors.

Our sport is going to be going through a revolution in the coming years as electric moves in that will be similar to when the conversion was made to 4 strokes.

Instead of trying to make the electrics competitive with 450s make them comparable to the 250 ice powered machines.

Change the premiere class to production based 250s. Allow factory suspension.

As much as many of us want it, the 125 aren't coming back. So make what is now the 250 class a class with stricter limitations to lower the cost. Off the shelf auspension. Maybe allow sleeved down or over bored two strokes with a 200cc limit. Have strict limits on modifications and a realistic claiming rule. Privateers would be on a much more level field. Put a restrictor on either intake or exhaust. This would make for simple adjustments to keep things slowed down/affordable.

Then feed the electrics in with careful monitoring to keep them competitive without an advantage or disadvantage.

There were certainly mistakes made in the 4 stroke revolution. Hopefully those in a position to do so will be more careful as our sport goes through another huge change and plan it to improve safety, increased levels of competition and affordability.

Way too many rules. 1 class for Pros. Run whatever.

250s can squirt in and out of turns more quickly than 450s, is my belief.

Good job Justin! Picked you in fantasy last night and you came through. Are you going to race the rest of the east on that 250F?

Hi Justin,
For you how was the 250 through the sand section, did the lack of power actually hurt you there?
Great ride Btw.

That's pretty dang awesome Justin. Just the start alone has to be pretty tough against a gate of 450's. Great job , and I wish more guys would do this.

Last time I looked at the AMA rules, you could bore out an engine within the limit of the particular class ( using freely available parts only) , but Not change the stroke.

Are there different rules between the Nationals and Felds Circus?
