I think he would win if he was given an opportunity with a top team, but I doubt that'll ever happen, unfortunately. I'll always root for Justin.

The guy has talent to be a podium contender in 250s with the right program and support. Did he race at all this year? I always look out for him since seeing him on that youtube show Inside Supercross or whatever it was called.

He’s riding here and there, but also working a 9-5 M-F. I should see him next weekend, so I’ll ask him if he’s doing any SX for 2020.

Won a moto at Mammoth this year, i agree...if he had a good bike and program he could be a contender.

I originally thought he was working for his dad, but he's constantly in and out of local jails and prisons doing some sort of work there. I haven't seen or talked to him in a little while since life happens lol.

In 2017, he raced 2 outdoors in the 450 class and he finished 11-14, 11-14!

Just seems crazy that a guy who seems to have that much speed can't get a good ride. (Unless he doesn't want it.)

(I love Alex Ray, but for comparison he only has four top-14 motos in his career.)

I know the Hoeft family had a rough time in motocross with Tyler Hoeft's accident at Freestone (RIP), so maybe after Justin's last round of injuries he has taken a step back to evaluate racing for a career. Just speculation.

Kid definitely should be out there, hes proved it.

Justin is good people. My last race as a mechanic happened to be his first pro race race and it was pleasure working with him. MXGP Glen Helen 2016, 9-13 moto scores after getting cleaned out by Bernardini. Hes got the skills, just needed to stay off the ground and he would be dialed.

It's a tough way to make a living. If he's been off the radar, that makes it even tougher. I hope he gets some looks this year.

I didn’t even think of it that way, I thought it was clear from the “doing some sort of work there”

My bad.

Yes working in them. Not actually in and out of jail. Justin isn’t that type of kid. He comes from a good family.

Not really. Just have the common knowledge to decipher what is being said. It’s not hard really to interpret what’s being said here. “Doing some sort of work there” isn’t click bait. Use your comprehension skills.

ARay also has a pile of 450sx main events under his belt.

Hate to burst your bubble but nobody cares about outdoor results when it comes to handing out rides to 10-20 place guys.

That was also on a bike he bought himself and wasn’t far from stock if I remember correctly.

Ignorant statement. Justin swept Loretta Lynn's in Mini Sr 1 & 2 in 2012 over some notable names including Sean Cantrell, Chase Sexton, Brandon Hartranft, Justin Cooper, Austin Forkner and others. He proceeded to be a top talent in B class, finishing 4th at Loretta Lynn's in 2013 in 250 B and earning himself a ride with Troy Lee Designs KTM, but took some time off after his little brother passed away in 2014 (understandably). He made his pro debut at the end of the 2017 SX season with the IBCorp team and went 17-13-10-21. He followed up that short stint by going 11-14 at Glen Helen as a full privateer in the 450 class, then followed it up by going 11-14 again at Washougal. Justin looked fast heading into the 2018 season, but struggled to find consistency in the main events. He finally got a top 10 in Oakland, but broke his ankle the following round in San Diego. He hasn't raced since, but he's working and still riding consistently. It's ignorant to sit here and say "he just don't have it" when you don't know Justin personally. If you've ever seen Justin ride, he's extremely smooth and has an effortless style. Unfortunately he's probably going to be another "Sean Collier" who's never given a legitimate shot, but anyone who knows the guy knows what he can do.
