Wow, Justin lays it all out on his switch from PC to JGR and I for one applaud his honesty. Usually don't hear this much specific info from riders.
- Kawi wouldn't offer him a 450 deal
- Was going to do a SX only deal with PC
- Wanted 3/4 of the $$ for SX only, I assume they offered him 1/2
- No practice mechanic support?
- His take on the outdoors was interesting. Hasn't he been in the class 4 years now? He's just now realizing the national tracks are gnarly and dusty public tracks in non-humid CA weather isn't adequate practice...?

Ive always found it strange that 1/3rd of a 250 season is somehow worth double than the other 2/3rds. by limiting himself to a SX only deal it would only further hamper his value to a 450 team by showing that he's not willing to work.
I think most people pay for their practive mech...
there was nothing stopping him from heading east last year. its what ciancirulo and savatgy do...jus sayin.
The Shop
"The main thing that sparked it though, was my interest in it."
To me it apears JGR bought a number 1 plate!
What they didn't agree on is the price.
Pit Row
And LOL at BUYING a house for a temp job assignment. Who is his financial manager?
• 450 year 2 on good team
• likes Suzuki handling and thinks JGR can hot rod the motor
• gets his own gear deals
• likes the team's vibe and capabilities
• doesn't like California and likes NC
I thought it was a curious move at first, but it makes a lot more sense when he laid it all out there. His interview on Pulp was great.
Sounded like he wanted a 450 option and Mitch wouldn’t give him one.
