I`ll repeat what I said last week- from my couch , rear suspension looks weird.

Didn’t he have a crash in practice today too? It doesn’t help that he’s on a 2014 Suzuki either

I like Suzuki and want them and JGR to have success, but that was not good. Bike looks slow and a handful compared to the competition. Suzuki HAS to get that 250 up to par. We used to all bag on the Yamaha's for still having a carb and being outdated until they made the major change in 14. Now it seems to be the fastest bike arguably. I feel for JGR.

I dont understand why you would go from a proven bike to a unproven bike.

For a guarenteed 450 ride next year. 450 rides are really scarce and hard to come by so he's riding that crap 250 to ride a 450 next year.

All from my couch of course - but as above I think the bigger issue is how unbalanced the bike looks, the rear especially looks pretty ghastly everywhere not just the whoops. We're used to seeing a top rider a little "off" etc from time to time for this or that reason but that was a whole new level of off! He's not even close.

Well he was convincingly champ last year and that bike has 2 main event wins in about 8 years. I'd probably go with the bike

The grass isn’t always greener on the other side .... he should have learnt his lesson when he ditched PC the first time!

I agree. He and the bike are not gelling.

That pass by Plessinger showed the weakness of the slowzukie

Uneducated question about bike setup, could the lack of balance be due to a setup issue to give him a better shot off the start because he's on a gutless turd?

WTF, Bike is in second place out of the gate and it's slow!? The one pure HP part of the track. Looks setup related to me.

To be fair, in going to JGR, he bagged himself a guaranteed 450 ride. Not something that's easily obtained. Even if he doesn't come close to winning this season, I think it was still a good move

Heard there's stipulations in his contract to get that 450 deal next year...

You'd hope JGR is smart enough to do that.

Im sure that bike isnt slow. It might not be putting factory ktm numbers up there but im sure its on par with everyone else. Ive seen local tuners doing better then stock ktm numbers on rmz250s. It set up. Its either off or he is trying to compensate for somthing else chassis wise.

But he has a garunteed 450 deal for next year on a very good bike, and thats something kawasaki couldnt/wouldnt do for him. Hes looking at the bigger picture. He wanted to ride the 450 this year, but JGR wanted him to run the number 1 plate and run their 250 program this year.

With there being complete traction on the mesh and not to mention the skill of the other top guys on the line, there is not a setup that would magically make a slow bike get to the corner well...

Was it the bike when he was absolutely terrible outdoors last year? The old Suzuki was fast enough to be the top qualifier last week. I tend to think it's more the guy riding it than the bike.

Arent “their” pre-season interviews just great?

My bike is so awesome

I was actually surprised at how much horsepower the bike has.... its definitely very competitive

The bike is so good that I actually have my set up already dial and haven’t touch the clicker in weeks

Smh .... but to be honest i have an incredibly hard time believing the parity HP difference is so large hes not very competitive ... with his phenominal talent he could pull finishes like this on a privateer level bike...

Michael,

I heard the same thing, however, we all know winning the championship doesn’t gaurentee a 450 ride ask Mookie how that worked for him. I would have ensured I was on the best equipment to showcase my talent rather than what is happening now. Im not knocking Hill as I think he is a great rider with a great attitude... I was concerned this would happen and since the 450 thing isn’t guaranteed he might be out of luck come 2019.

I just think Loyalty should have been a bigger part of his division making process.

I agree on the shock. Is tgat the bike's fault or set up though?
