Okay, I'd threatened some video from Justin Barcia's compound last week, and it's dialed and ready to go. Hope you enjoy.

Awesome to see such a young guy investing so much into his career this early on. It doesn't seem too many 250 riders have a 'compound.' I'd also think a rider having his own training facility like that plays greatly in their favor when contracts are up.

Love the 70's skater hair. Reminds me of young Hannah, Johny O, and Gibsons.

I agree completely. But on the other hand, do you think most guys in the 250 class can afford to have a compound of this caliber? I mean, I'm sure they are making good money, but do you think they make enough for Barcia's set up?

In California, not many would make enough for 30-plus acres, with enough distance around it that the closest neighbors would tolerate his practice and riding.

It's definitely a good location.

Hey Gib - Are you the only person at vital that shoots these videos? How do you get them all done? Are you literally flying/driving constantly with like a day or two a month at home? Even in the offseason?

Takes the championship bonus money to pay for places like that...

It seems like smart use of their money. It's a custom training facility where he can totally focus and room and board is covered too.

What is behind the compound thing anyhow. Are they mad scientists inventing four-assed monkeys?

Fully agree! If I'm looking for someone to ride for my team someone like Barcia has an edge. He is investing in his future which tells me as a team owner / sponsor this guy is serious and here to win.

Best of my knowledge Carmichael started the whole concept of a full blown moto compound. No?

In Florida, just across the Georgia state line from Valdosta.
