Because you're not going to tell one of these dudes to put himself at a displacement challenge.

Didn't they practically make that bike for Cairoli and he decided to not even run it anymore.

I recall JT$ saying something that his Alpinestar gear deal is really a hindrance to him. He has a very large contract with them still, and teams like RMATV are a fly company. I hope Justin figures it all out though. So much potential, but it just really shows what confidence does to a racer...

He won 4 or 5 championships in a row on it...

That 350 handles like a 125, My brother has a 17 450 and his buddy has the 17' 350. Everyone that rides them both (6 of us so far) have faster lap times on the 350.

I think you're right on this.....but when AC ran it , he did very well on it and won quite a few championships on it. If I remember correctly , he's only been on the 450 the past 3 years?

I think AC also learned how to ride the 450 in a proper way. Justin never seemed to of figured that part out.

I " think "......putting Justin on a 350 may solve a lot of problems for that dude , if I have to be honest. I could see him beating a lot of 450's on it. Who knows?......it may be a match made in heaven?

I mean, I tend to agree with you on the way he rides and personally think he would do well on one too. I just feel like you put any of these guys down 100 cc's, in their mind they've already lost. Grinning

I don't know what Barcia needs but I do enjoy watching him race when he's on it. Hopefully something comes his way and he can put in some good results in his future.

I mentioned I thought this might be the case the day he went out for practice, said he was cleared, and then didnt race that day from not being cleared (or something like that). I could be wrong, but seemed kind of weird to me.

He needs a 2012 Honda. Back when he was battling for podiums on the Honda. He killed it on Honda 250/450 and when he left he went downhill

Ok but how much of the potential of the bike do you and your friends use compared to the pro riders?

Isn't the 350 a more "rideable" bike when you're not one of the world's best?

Even Cairoli stepped off the 350 when his dominance faded a little. He needed maximum output to stay with his competitors.

OK I'm sure I'm gonna get blasted on saying this but all this talk about wanting to see him do good, well I don't feel it. I'd rather see a respectful rider take that "good spot" wether it be a ride or a good finish in a race. Yeah I don't know the dude personally but have talked to a few racers that said he treated them like shit on and off the track. Too many blatant take outs over the years, kinda was hoping someone would've returned the favor more often. Don't get me wrong, no wishes for ANY injury, just put in check. Well maybe his situation is karma.

So he should go to MCR? I mean the bike is basically a 2012.

What's brewing? You do realize there are not many if any 450 spots available right now right?

Maybe a break is what he needs. I'm not sure. His heart just didn't seem into it this year.

Things are more interesting with him around. He's a top ten talent and sucks to see nothing is lined up for him yet.

AC222 went to 450 when the new one came out 2015/2016. The advantage of the 350 was basically gone since the 450 became so nimble and easy to ride with all weight shaved of (engine + chassi).

Herlings has tested the 350, but he gave up to much in the starts so went with 450.

A light weight rider could do well on a 350 but it requires a special 250-riding style that also cost a lot of energy.

I also think a lot of riders could benefit from going Husky/KTM in general. Both because of the machines being to easy to handle and lightweight, but also that it is a well refined machine in terms of semi factory and real factory support (what parts to run, and suspension setup baseline)

I think the letter shows JB is maturing. Very cool to thank the team and NOT burn bridges. We need as many fast guys as possible to make the racing better. He is not my favorite rider but it is great to see him when he is on it....

It probably has a snowball's chance in hell of happening, but I'd really like to see what he could do on the 350.

I'm not going to blast you but agree with lots that you said. I actually want him to regroup and get back to the top but he really needs to reflect upon himself for the way he acts on the track and maybe off. If you ride like he does sometimes you have to expect to get it back and not have a hissy fit. It's like Vince Friese in a way, never owning up to his take outs and always can't believe everyone is mad at him. There is a common pattern with riders like this and they don't see it.

You would think he would be humbled by this and hopefully pull a Wilson, get a van, bike and Oneal gear and set out show us what he can do. And what he can do is be in the top 5 at any race when he on.

Needs time for mind, body, and spirit to heal? Sounds like Bagget broke him. Whistling

I've never been a huge fan of his "bam bam" style, but he has definitely made things exciting on occasion. Like others have said, I think running his own program a la Dean Wilson would humble the dude. Best of luck with whatever route he chooses.

Doesn't matter what bike you put that guy on. He needs to get his mind right. This sport is about 60% mental, 30% physical, and 10% equipment.

I could see it being pretty equal to better in some situations. But starts are HUGE, and giving up 100cc will not get you consistently good starts.

Everyone should be stoked.
No other teams beat Dungey either.
Look around, this SX game is no joke.
Justin is one of the 20 fastest SX racers on the planet.
If he were one of the 20 best quarterbacks on the planet he would be considered great at his sport.
We got you Justin, Glen Helen 2009, I was there running around screaming for you!
