Yea Jim it is Scratch proof! Thats the benefit of the StageIII Hard Coat. They have a Stage II Soft Coat that if a rock hit it hard enough and would gouge the Aluminum then you would see it. The Stage III from what I was told completely Anodizes the frame tubing all the way to the inside of the Frame tube. R-Acer it cost me $140....

My question exactly! You will have a lot of work ahead of you if they didn't plug any of the holes, or threaded areas.

Anodizing probably isn't going to change the dimensions enough to cause any problems. Powdercoating is a different story.

Ya it is off my 250 smoker! Also the question was asked bout the holes. They plugged the wholes, they said they plug anything with threads just as a caution. I'm gonna have my custom graphics made up but I have 2 bikes below that I want to maybe get. Which one do you guys think?

Your frame looks nice! Would you mind giving out contact info for the company that did your anodizing?

Hard Anodize does build up enough to make threads and any bearing surface a no fit after plate, regardless the frame looks great and it's a smoking deal for $140.

Liberty Anodizing in West Liberty, Iowa. They will ask you for a blue print with measurements so they can give you an accurate quote. I put my drafting skills together and sent it into them. Heres there email contact info I got ahold them alot quicker by email then by phone. They do alot of the Stage 3 coatings for all the big factories around here. Next thing up is the fork tubes and rear shock body..

Your frame looks great!

I should have my Father do my frame.

While you are at it, get your hubs, rims, and triples powdercoated by my father, Jerry. He does custom powdercoat applications out of North Carolina.(shipping is cheap, and the colors available are crazy!)

make sure you grind every flat surface or your bolts will rattle loose. use lots of loctight or you're going to have stuff rattling out.

we did one of our bikes and it looked great, but it was a nightmare.

I believe in Blue Loctite and a torque wrench. My Spark plug even gets torqued.

I am thinking of hacking off just a little to make the shrouds a little "sharper" before I get my numbers done.
Ya I seen that and I really don't like it though. But thats just my opinion.

Not to ruin the tone of his thread.
Just so you know he ain't just show and don't place any bets with him!Cool

Nice! Really nice. That yellow and black YZF is purdy also. Black and yellow is a nice combo, better than white and black I think.
