Just talked to my friends and they are 1/2 way to the track on 76. They said beautiful day and people were pulling over and unloading bicycles...ditching the car.

I was out there in June for the KTM dealer show and wondered about traffic problems. At the time there was only one road in at the time and it wasn't much. I would think that staying at the resort and taking the shuttle would have been the hot ticket.

Call your friends back. I was going to do that but had read on the Pala site about cars being ticketed if you park on the side of # 76. Just to make sure I called Pala Casino up and they said yes, you will be ticketed. They didn't know if that could mean a tow though. Pala Casino will tow you if you park in their lot without being a Hotel or Casino guest.

It's not hard to imagine that a cash strapped city / county sees that as a revenue source. Hopefully the Pala MX guys have "taken care" of any local officials ... if you take my meaning.
