The Shop
the bigger issue is the force of impact upon contact with the net. The net and pulley system will have to be very lightweight yet very stiff. If it's too heavy, he will be using his face to accelerate it from 0 to 120 in basically no time and it could crush him without him even hitting the ground. If the net is too stretchy, it will concentrate more of the force on his torso and bend him backwards like a pretzel. If it's too stiff, it will hurt like a bitch but also the spring rate of the net will cause it to rebound before the secondary spring (the air system controlling the pulleys) is able to move and would cause him to bounce off the net.
So even if he does nail the landing, which to my untrained eye seems nearly impossible without a parachute or wingsuit to steer, he could still be seriously injured.
Pit Row
and yeah, he might be able to get slower. I have no idea what is possible, that's just what a few websites said is the terminal velocity of a parachutist during free fall.
In short, this jump sounds sketchy as hell but very intriguing from a physics perspective.

If you're an adult and can pay the bills, you should be allowed to do anything you want as long was it's not hurting anyone else.
Switzerland has it right. If you want to show up and climb the north wall of the Eiger in winter wearing tennis shoes some people will probably try to talk you out of it. If you try anyway and die, your family/estate will have to pay the bill for hauling your frozen body off the mountain.
Of course air rescue insurance there is super affordable........
