Excellent rider but horrible on camera.. Did anyone else catch his embarrassing moment during Straight Rhythm? Reminded me of something similar during SX earlier this year, I forget which round.

I like him and am rooting for him but he really needs to tone it down and relax a bit during interviews, he comes off poorly, seems very awkward like he's caught off guard and trying to act cool. Chill bro, you are cool and you don't have to try to prove it to everyone.

If I were a team owner I'd hire him but only if he were willing to take some serious coaching to hone his on-camera persona.

Considering he was representing Monster Energy and Turdshark, I'd say he absolutely NAILED it.

I thought it was rather lame too. I wouldn't go around insulting companies like Red Bull if you ever want to have a chance at riding for one of their teams. Especially when you don't currently have a ride.

My thoughts were 1) it was an obvious dig at Red Bull and, 2) The younger Bro crowd probably loved the hell out of it.

Hells yeah Bro !! Unleash the Beast !!!!!!!

He came off like a complete immature ass hole. You want to represent your sponsors that's fine but taking a stab at the event that Invited you is just a loser move. Keep biting the hand that feeds you and will see how long you eat. Moron needs to shut his mouth and maybe he would still have a ride at rch.

I think competition between brands is good, but I've seen it get silly between energy drink brands.

In my personal opinion? Red Bull keeps it pretty classy, and Monster is way more about the bro, bro.

Josh got in a pretty solid Monster mention after one of his runs. Something along the line of, "I'm going to go back to the pits and crack a Monster Energy, and unleash the beast in the next run."

I don't blame Josh. They've been (and continue to be) a big supporter of him.

Hmmm... I didn't really catch any slap at Red Bull. Just a plug for his sponsor.

I don't think there was really anything wrong with the context of what he said, just the execution was poor. Something about it definitely rubbed me the wrong way and I knew I wasn't the only one. I'd like to think that he doesn't really come across that way in person, but I've never met him.

theres definitely a right way and wrong way to plug sponsors on the podium. seems like some can come off super genuine and believable ala windham and then others seem forced while trying to nail the "dunlops were hooking up and my motor just kept pullin!" spiel.

Ill take Hill's deal over a certain other rider's recited sponsor list

And how did he take a stab at the event?

Are y'all serious? He basically just said he was going to drink some Monster, who is paying most of the bills on the bike he is on. He even just said their tag-line instead of the actual name out of respect. Calm down.

It's threads like this that produce podium speakers like Villapoto and Dungey.

Seriously who gives a fuck... Some of your guys comments on here are sounding like he personally offended you. There was nothing wrong with what he said. He was pumped up with adrenalin after that run and was amped up for his sponsor. He was decked out in Monster gear, he had to represent! Wink

Seriously...if these racers listened more to the whiny internet douchers, they could be whining on the internet way more and not racing as much.

And that wasn't aimed at anyone in here just stating their opinion in a respectful way (like nytsmaC)...
