Talk has seemed pretty quiet on Josh Hansen leading up to A1. Anyone have any predictions on how he'll do on the new Husqvarna ride running his coveted "100" again? I'm going with easy Top-10 all day long and hopefully Top-5...can he be on the podium or catch a W along the way?

I like the guy, super smooth and great style. If he is in better shape than before, I can see some top 5s. I don't have him being a consistent podium finisher

Honestly, I think 250 West will be tough, I'd say 8-14.

He's going to face:
J. Martin
Plessinger
Oldenburg
Davalos
Hampshire
McElrath
Hill
Forkner

Plus others who could keep him honest. It will be interesting to see where he ends up, especially with the races being timed now.

Not sure really. Gotta give him props for being there and trying his best. He aint as young as he used to be , so just making mains and getting inside the top 10 is quite an accomplishment.

Holeshots and podiums a heat. No box finishes for a main, unfortunately. Dude has drive for sure...

If by top 5 you mean maybe a 5th, sure. A win, sure, if the rest of the contenders are in a pile up together.

7 - 9 on average. Maybe a 5th as a high. Finishing the series should be considered a success, which is sad for a dude with that much talent who is a year younger than Reed.

7-11

The occasional 19-20 lap Mains are going to make things a lot more interesting in the 250 class

Having a kid changes a guy immensely one way or another. Hopefully he does good.

And therein lies the problem.. yet another guy who has already had his ten chances, wasting a perfectly good ride that one of the younger guys could use to prove himself with...

If those younger guys are faster and beat him consistently...then they can earn his ride next year. He's probably racing for little money but gets quite a bit of exposure with the fans. A person's name can still hold weight in this sport. I'm sure his sponsors see this.

I don't understand
The 250 class is split east west to make it more affordable and less traveling, he wanted to do 450s
but didn't get enough support.

Who would you put him above? He would be lucky to make a main. Top 10 in 250s is pretty achievable for him and probably pays better.

The ride is his own. He created it.

On any given night hanny can smoke hampshire, Oldenburg, mcelrath, and will get lucky when the j marts and plessingers crash. I expect a smooth hanny battling with the front guys occasionally and occasionally taking 5th or better with a few 5-10 finishes.
