Josh Grant has the speed to race in front that's a proven fact. He has some shit-luck and gets into some really bad situations that are not always his fault. Some people will say you make you're own luck, but Josh sure has had a lot a bad karma headed his way in the last few years.....If he stays injury free, has a good bike (like the JGR) gets goods starts (which have been hurting him) and maintains a fast first two lap pace, I think he can hang with all the big boys.

His window is closing fast.

Yes, he does have the speed but cannot keep any sort of streak going. I am honestly VERY surprised he still gets picked up by teams..................Huh

I think JGR is his last hope, if he doesn't get signed by them again he will be without a ride.

That last crash was not his fault, just in the wrong place as Peick's bike killed him. He was in the top 10 at the time too.

I think these guys like reed milsaps and brayton coming in strong are giving some of the other riders hope like grant. They're on the down swing but show that they can still compete if they put in the time and effort. I think grant could be a sleeper if he had some things go his way. I only throw reed on the mix because he continues to prove that he is a contender even though his age suggests he should be in a different place in his career.

How many years ago did that bad luck streak start? He hasn't put a good season together in a very long time. I looked him up in the vault and it looks like he usually does better in motocross. Hope he can turn it around

If I were Josh Grant, I would be on the phone with Tony and offering to mow the lawn, wash the bikes or do whatever to get off the shitlist because obviously, whatever hex was put on him that day in 2009 has stuck.

He has been sadly consistently inconsistent for a long time. I think it will be a tough go for him after this season to find a top notch ride.

Hank, right?
Just a joke, or do you think he has been making bad decisions in recent years?

Probably once the $2.5 million in restitution is paid back to Mike? That's about how much he lost that year because of that take out. Just sayin'.... Ha

You mean because he injured himself while practising and still tried to race?

Seriously! If it weren't for bad karma, Mike & Josh wouldn't have any at all. Seems like Mike has come out of his...but Josh can't get a break (so to speak)!

I agree that Grant has potential top 5 speed on a given lap or heat, but I'm not sure about for 20 laps. I think, even with a holeshot, a lot is going to have to go right for him to finish in the top 5.

KR, CR, RD, JS, RV, JB, JB, AS, ET

Finishing in front of even half of those riders is going to be a super tall order for Josh Grant.

I've always been a big fan of his talent on a bike, personally I'm still figuring it out. Seems like a good dad and husband. I hated seeing him get taken out from behind in Houston and hope he's okay.

I have not heard about this yet. Did N-Fab kick in and upgrade Phil to full time status with JGR or is it some other ride?

OK, I thought you the "whole series" you were referring to was for outdoors. Sounds like he may be taking Brayton's place for the remainder of SX since Brayton broke his hand again at Houston to go along with his already broken foot.

Just so Phil couldn't or just so he isn't at risk for losing his spot?

I don't know Josh personally, but the first thing I thought of when I heard about JGR's system was how it would force anybody to stay on the track when they weren't 100%.

I know if I was a little banged up and knew there was a "replacement" waiting in the wings, I wouldn't sit at home either. Motocross isn;t stick and ball and I think we saw with Phil, you can't just be "on the bench and ready"
