If she was this close, I bet she will make the cut sooner than later.

Talked to her and her dad for a write-up that'll be on Swapmoto Live later this week. There are a lot of misconceptions about Jordan. She doesn't want special treatment, just wants to be raced like anyone else on the track, hence the very quiet decision to race High Point.

She's 18, went to high school full time until her graduation a few weeks ago (actually, finished school a semester early and walked with her class), had been limited to riding just on the weekends due to her school schedule, and her equipment was true privateer (no parts trickling over from Yamaha's race teams, no Star Racing YZ250F).

All in all, it's impressive that she was as close as she was in a pro debut (run-in with a rider early in the race, a mechanical issue on the last lap).

She and the moto community should be proud of her attempt and accomplishments. Bravo!

Her bike cut out going toward/up the face of the big quad. She rolled to a stop mid way between the face and landing.

Could have been very bad! She did a GREAT job slowing and stopping safely. She was gutted, you could tell from her body language.

Respect.

With all respect, I haven't heard her name in a few years since she was on minibikes and the next fast girl that may challenge the boys. That's great and all but since then there has been no hype about the girl battling and winning against the boys at the Am Nationals, I see no way she is going to have the speed to be in the top 40.
Slippy...she was 2.5 seconds off the 40th qualifier. Qualified 49th. She's got a few things to clean up with her riding, and needs to send it just a bit harder. I believe if she does than she'll get in the show

She will be the first.

Good effort by her, and I really dig that gear.

I agree! I know one very fast local NorCal kid struggled to 50 something on time at Hangtown but a good start and solid 4 laps put him in the show easily.

Really, finishing the timed qualifying in the upper 40's is a good clean lap away from the upper 30's because 2 +/- seconds on a 2min+ lap isn't really far off at all. Hope to see it soon!

As a proud father of a girl who wants to race, I'm a big fan. I hope she makes the motos.

JJ went down HARD in timed practice and took a while to get up. JJ and her mechanic sat in front of me and she was icing so she was feeling it. She was trying so hard in the LCQ she was making small mistakes. Once the stress lets off she will be making it!

Unless you were thwarted ..... What you did not see was Carrie Coombs coming over and giving JJ a huge hug while pushing the bike back to the pits. PURE Class Carrie Coombs!!!

Coincidentally, this is my sister Carrie Joe's daughter Rozlind, not Jordan, but they were all down there to cheer her on...

And for what it's worth, Jordan Jarvis had passed up to fifth halfway through the first lap of the LCQ and was one spot away from getting into qualifying position when she collided with the guy in front of her in the first new woods section and went down. Then she had more problems of course. But in my opinion she is much closer to qualifying that you might think--I wouldn't be surprised if it happened in Florida!

Very impressed by this high school graduate, both on and off the track.

It would be really cool to see her qualify. Where is she from? Is High Point her local track? Maybe she can get in wherever her most local pro national is if she’s experienced there.
She's from right outside Raleigh, NC. She regularly rides Cowbranch MX.

Awesome on her!

Vital thinking:
"Keefer will qualify no problem! Probably even score a point or two!"

"No way Jordan even comes close to qualifying"

That she is only 18 actually blows my mind. So impressive!

They announced today that she’s representing the USA this year at the ISDE. Don’t know how much off-road experience she has but hopefully she can help us take down the Aussie women

All I know is that she would smoke me on a track. Hopefully she keeps it going and keeps improving.

Im surprised Courtney Duncan hasn't tried to qualify. Nothing against this fast girl, I just think Duncan is probably way faster again.

She might not want special treatment, but she'll be treated special. And she'll accept it. Kudo's to her but I don't see her qualifying. BUT, if she does qualify, she will have A LOT of opportunity. Good luck!!
