yea ,heard that too. i knew Everts and Smets would work together tho . this stamps Everts to Suzuki too . be very intressting to see who Suzuki get for the second spot now . there are nt really any championship guy s out there . maybe Simson ?? .

Everts and Simpson to Suzuki , Smets and Coldenhoff to KTM ... good swap for both teams

8/13/2015 12:27 PM

I think Simpson will continue same program as this year, just with more support from KTM. He's going to have factory engines etc. I think it was Beirer who said that after Lommel.

And Herlings stays in the MX2 class

Somehow it makes more sense with Smets at KTM and Everts at Suzuki. Everts at KTM have felt wrong all along. Just like Decoster leaving Suzuki for KTM felt strange. Hope it works out for all parts involved and they get the equipment and riders they deserve.

It's rude to talk about religion. You never know who you're gonna offend

Good move for Joel, loved watching him muscle bikes about to make up for lack of 'skill' compared to those he was racing against.

Cant remember any bad press about him, maybe down to his workrate

Bye bye Searle then.

8/13/2015 1:15 PM

It looks like Smets has the job that Everts was trying to do .. before he got slid sideways to look after the kids.
Simpson wont be on a Suzuki if Everts is there, and i think that makes the Desalle to Kawasaki more than certain too.

Absolutely right.

Is Everts actually buying the Geboers team?

That seems the logical thing to me, for a man like Everts - to have your own team.

Plenty of people seem to want to put him down - re mentions of him being shuffled to the side etc, but with Pit being there at KTM, and very much in control, to me, it seems logical for Stefan to perhaps take the next step further and have his own 'thing'.

Of course, it may be just a change of scenery for him, plus him working with fellow, much admired Belgians / a Belgium based ,major team that is effectively, the Works Suzuki MX Team, he / his family have much history with.

Whatever it all is, it's great to see both Smets and Everts so involved, still, in MX. Great to see Coldenhoff finding a good spot.

8/13/2015 11:55 PM

It might be true, but it has only been confirmed that Smets is going to KTM not Coldenhoff. Glenn said news about him isn't going to be before the end of the season.
This Belgian site might bring it as a fact, but it's nothing more than a rumour.

Coldenhoff has also been talking to Ice One Husqvarna too, but as of now, nothing has been confirmed. Would be nice to see him next to Cairoli, but don't expect anything official till the end of the season.

8/13/2015 11:58 PM

And Simpson isn't going to Suzuki (if it's true that Everts will buy the team together with Vaesen). I think it would be more realistic that Simpson moves to Ice One Husqvarna, if Coldenhoff goes to KTM.

Townley for the second Suzuki spot.

Strijbos could be working with Harry Everts again, worked out pretty well a few years ago.

I don't watch the GPs anymore - what the hell has happened to Searle this year?

For years he seemed like one of those riders that got off lightly and avoided big injuries, kind of like a Dungey in that regard.

This year he seems like a calamity.
Maybe that Thailand crash freaked him out.

His transition to the 450 class seems tougher than expected. Has he won a moto yet?

8/14/2015 2:41 AM

Rockstar left Suzuki for reason and that reason is JS7 who comes to GPs taking Factory Suzuki spot along veteran Strijbos. He will finish out Captain America thing that RV2 started and be first afroamerican to make GP main events in history.. later first one to win World Championship on highest level of Motocross racing.

It's already been said by Beirer that Shaun will be with them with factory support in 16. This was weeks ago. Tell you right now if Tommy's manager hasn't already spoken with Suzuki in the last month or so I'd be very surprised

On topic though, pumped for Coldenhoff if he does get this ride, another super sand rider on orange? Wtf!!! .

Bad times mate, injury after injury, I talk with him quite often and I can tell you he is working hard but you know he's gutted, just doesn't get much luck for whatever reason. Blinding fast on 250, just hasn't hone his way on big bike really. Like most he needs a season healthy in order to put it together, when he gets a full year he will finish top 5-7 season end no problem.

Yeah gutted he's not doing better, esp seeing how guys like Paulin have progressed ahead of him.. Have been following Tommy since his first podium at Matterly Basin. Seemed so solid through the 250s and relatively injury free.

Seems like his best results come once a year at Des Nations!

for Pit Beirer there were 2 options , Coldenhoff or Guillod ... De Dijcker en Searle are leaving , they needed 1 more MXGP rider next to TC .... Guillod found his spot , so its basically 100% sure that Glen goes to KTM .... isnt just a rumour , in the article it said KTM took him in

How about Searle going to Suzuki ? read somewhere that would be an option also Dixon was interested in him to get back on a kawasaki

since moving to 450's he has had a never ending series of problems/ injuries which have held him back, he has got to be pissed at how this year has went as was his big chance on the TOP factory team. Where now???

In a strange way, wonder if he'd do better at this stage on a smaller team with less weight on his shoulders to build himself up again. Just bench racer speculation. Never met the dude. haha

Any idea where KDD will end up? I really enjoy watching him when he is "on" even if it doesn't happen as often as it used to. I heard he brought some "income" to the team as well, so if he can take that with him I guess it will be easier to find a new ride.

I think Searle will end up on a brittish team. He will probably have to race Maxxis, ride without factory support but also with less pressure as already mentioned. Even if it's a bitter piller to swallow I think it's the best for him to restart his career and build it up gradually. I guess Dixon is a good guess too.

De Dycker considers retirement, but this is a rumour IMO. I guess he'll end up at a semi factory team, such as 24MX Honda for example.

yeah , but Pit stated clearly that he would like Glenn back at KTM , so for me its obvious as its the best team available for him at the moment ......
