On topic, Shimoda has been great to watch all year. He may be a sign of a new direction at PC. Mitch’s mantra has long been “we can work with speed”, but most of his top riders have been riding way over their heads to achieve that speed and they inevitably get sidelined by injury. For the past few years PC has had riders more famous for their crashing than their racing. This seemed to start around the time they had Gannon Audette under the PC tent. Meanwhile, Star racing looks to have over taken PC for the most desirable 250 ride. I think Shimoda would have been passed over by Mitch in the PC heyday, but things have gotta change over there and Jo may be a step in the right direction.
