Exactly. The OP says he'll have an option for the 450 in year 2 if he wins an SX title in 17, so they must be taking that into consideration.

Well if you look at who they have I don't think there's too much hope for a title with their current riders. Actually makes sense, I personally believe JMart will be a big favorite for a title in 250 SX next year, he will have tons more experience than most he will be racing against, and he knows how to win titles.

Regardless of him winning the 250mx title this year i think we'll still see him on a 250 in SX next year. I dont see him lighting the world on fire on a 450 in SX next year and i dont think another on a 250 will hurt him for sx. If there were rumors of him going to yamaha for 250 sx and 450 mx and now this geico rumor maybe he realizes that another year in 250 sx will benefit him.

Is anyone actually dumb enough to name a source on info that is not public? Just wondering. Last year I said Dungey would not be at the USGP in July, and that Youthstream was using his name with out confirming he would be racing. Well he was not at the USGP. Will see if I am still batting a thousand.

this makes no sense to me. geico is with smith, craig and rj in a very good spot for years to come.

plus how many titles is he supposed to win to convince people that he is a top guy.

if he is looking to stay another year in the 250 class, then why not with ktm? once dungey will retire ktm has no young top guy moving up at the moment. he could be that guy.
