Jmart confirmed on pulp show he is signed to a 250 deal for 2022

Edited Date/Time 7/20/2021 6:07am
He would not say what team it’s for so that all but confirms it isn’t star. Seems pretty obvious he signed with PC at this point.

at 28 years of age with the injuries he has had. pretty crazy to see him still competitive in outdoors.
I hope he can make it through SX season healthy.

with 6 career 250SX East wins including 13 podium finishes since 2012. I hope he can get through with a good season finish.

No worse than Wacko was. Remember, Zach turned pro in 2006 and didn’t move up until 2019.

Love it when people bag on guys for not moving up but don’t understand anything as to why…

Everyone likes to think they would just hop on a non-paying, lesser ride to “move up and prove the haters wrong” when in fact they’d all do the same thing as Jmart did. Get in and get paid. Ryan Hughes, GL, Mike Brown, ZO, and many more have done the same thing. It’s called being fiscally smart.

What if triumph rebrands some KTMs with black plastics? That’d be great.

Jesus wept, everyone understands why he's still racing 250's. It was a funny post.

I might be a bit selfish here but man, i just want to see JMart on a 450 at this point. He's 28 years old, has two 250 outdoor titles in his bag, multiple high dollar 250 contracts behind him so he should be ok financially.

Time is starting to run out if he wants to have a good 450 career too, and as a fan it would suck if he only gets a couple of years on a 450.

They may be waiting to make the announcement to do it in conjunction with another signing. Maybe a new sponsor is coming on board, and the new sponsor wants the announcement done with all their branding included.

If swap said it it must be true 🙄. Triumph would be cool and would make sense why he wouldn’t let the cat out the bag.

I like J Mart and totally understand why he’s staying 250. I don’t blame him a bit. That being said, I shot my drink outta my nose when I saw this.

Davalos earned big bank staying in the 250's as long as he did. Then he pointed out, and didn't exactly cut a rug on the 450's except for the odd race or two where everything went his way. I totally understand JMart staying put.

It was actually Anton who said he confirmed it with JMarts mechanic.

To be fair Zacho lost plenty of years here in europe. We all know that no team in US will sign a rider from the GP’s straight to a 450 deal even if you just comming of a big bike class GP podium like Reed did.

So Zach had to do a couple of years on a small bike in the US No matter how old he was, thats not something that J mart can say.

I just think it’s funny how much heat Davalos got through the years for it and when it comes to J-Mart we are all good.

When Herlings were like 20 years old US based people gave him shit to for riding a mx2 bike. I really like the consistency here..

I don't think you can compare the two. Herlings was dominate by the time he was 20. If Jmart won a supercross title, I would be for him moving up. The rules to move up are weird in the states. Either make them more strict or not at all.

Dominate or not, he was still a kid that needed to mature in the Mx2 class, just because you are fast, dosent mean that you are ready for the next class.

Im all in for riding what ever class you want or suits you. Back in the GP days we had plenty of ”small” riders that were 125cc specialist and were never suited to ride a larger CC bike.

I just think its funny how some riders can get so much shit for it and others not for the same thing.
