Has any rider had worse luck with mechanicals? Seems he has one every year now outdoors! Poor guy.

What did they finally say happened to his bike?

He has a great attitude.

I was so gutted for him. He was riding so well then for a mechanical to happen just plain sucks for anyone. I thought I heard the announcers say something about the gear box.

I’ve been pulling for him the last few years and it’s unbelievable the bad luck he’s had. Maybe he just rides the bikes too hard they can’t keep up with how hard he’s ripping out there lol I believe he’ll come back even more fired up and really start dominating the next few rounds

That was my first thought as he was looking at the rear of the bike. Figured it lost drive somehow, but he says it just cut out and he did appear to be trying to start it with the button at one point.

We can only hope, even the year he won the title he has bad luck at glen helen and had to pull a dungey style southwick comeback.

christophe pourcel had mechanicals in 2009 and 2010 that cut out huge points for him in the title chases. had he not had these he mightve been a 2 time mx champ

Last Saturday was a hard day for our team. A day that we cost two of our riders their race and one of them the points lead. The mechanical issue had no fault to our sponsors or technical partners. The issue was completely on us. In pushing the limits of performance, we unfortunately found the limit. That being said, we will rebound and return stronger. We win as a team and we lose as a team. Thank you to all of Jeremy’s and Chase’s fans for keeping them positive and to our fans for always being there through our high’s and low’s! We pride ourselves on being honest with our fans and the racing community. Here’s to better days ahead!

“Mechanical” as opposed to the other common failure “electrical”

I can imagine there is someone or a few in that photo that are more upset than Jeremy and Chase.

they're not obligated to anything.

but if they want to garner fan goodwill or whatever theyre after by posting it to begin with, it behooves them to not assume their fans are morans and don't remember every other time a team has fallen on their sword solely to protect partners.

being open with fans gets you more fans. and thats what this is all about isnt it?

You’re welcome to that opinion. I didn’t interrupt that post as falling on a sword or to gather goodwill. I simply took it as personal accountability and letting us know it wasn’t a supplier/sponsor/partner. I don’t recall anyone else ever admitting they just pushed the limit. I liked it and have more respect for them which makes me more of a fan. Mission accomplished.
