Yaa Harrison is in a pretty crappy situation. Thats one reason o dont care for the Star yamaha team. Most of the time in the past they would just dump a rider after 1 year. Harrison improved tremendously this year and they still didn't sogn him to a year extenstion. Why invest all this money and time in a rider, and hes actually improving, to just drop him. Thats why i love a team like TLD KTM. Theyre loyal to their riders and give them time to develop.
Like they(TLD) did with Alex fry?

TLD didn't hire Frye of their own accord. They had to take on Frye due to an existing contract he had with KTM. When KTM placed their factory support behind TLD, they had to take on Hill and Frye per KTM's request to full-fill those existing contracts.

Still crazy to think that guy went from a full factory ride to completely out of the sport, especially considering how moto-crazy his family was, judging by the Redbull documentaries he was in.

I'd like to think Frye had a lot more upside than someone like Jimmy D who I don't think has even podiumed in 8 years.

Sounds like Jimmy is out at Geico but reading between the lines in the comments of his latest post sounds like he has something figured out for 2018....

4th at Oakland, ended 2017 250SX West with fifth in points. You'd be a very difficult team manager to please.... Especially considering J-Mart ended SX 11th in points.

Frye was had a deal to race with Orange Brigade in 2016 before the team folded at the end of 2015. TLD picked him up to fulfill his contract with KTM. I read somewhere (Transworld, I think) that Frye retired before the start of 2017 due to an injury, but I think TLD had already cut him by that point.

Frye was on the orange birage team and that was supposed to take him into his first full year of sx and mx just like it did with Dakota Alix the previous year. Frye was even supposed to be on TLD but they had to take him on or KTM wouldve broke his contract. And Frye didnt exactly light the world on fire. Frye said he couldve raced this year on his own dime fron the money he made at TLD but he didnt want to spend that and end up with no ride again. So he took the safe route and quit instead of wasting a decent chunk of money to keep his dreams alive for one more year.

J-Mart has won sx races, has won a bunch of mx races and 2 championships. No sense in comparing the two lol

If thats the case, then thatd be pretty sweet for JimmyD. Im sure the bike will be very competitive since they brought the current west champ on, it has to be, no excuses. JimmyD will probably get his own gear deal/ gear money too. I wonder if he'll ride outdoors though, cause i remember JGR saying they have four 250 riders in supercross, but only two 250 riders outdoor.

I believe there is sense in it, if J-Mart is such a champion why did he not do that well in SX? I'm a huge fan of his, I'm just saying that Jimmy D did great this year.

I always pull for nesc guys but don't say he was half retarded because he had Lyme disease. What does that even mean? How about Lyme kicked his but or slowed him down. And yes I know the definition of retarded is slowed.

I am not convinced that they can bring the bike up to the level of other teams. Paying a regional champ a few hundred thousand and promising a ride at the next level of competition for him is a lot less of a commitment than the literal millions that go into developing a motorcycle.

According to Racer X, JGR just signed Decotis.

Good fit, if you ask me, especially considering that JGR will only field two of their four 250 riders for the outdoors. Nicoletti will likely move up to the 450s, and Decotis is a Supercross specialist, so it makes since to sign him as 250SX only. Then again, Hill isn't much of an outdoor rider, either.
