This week on The Whiskey Throttle Show we welcome motocross icon Jimmy Button. Jimmy was pegged as the next greatest thing on a mini bike and he turned that into a solid pro career that included time as a factory Suzuki rider, Factory Yamaha rider, Chaparral Yamaha rider as well as stint in the GP’s. Jimmy had a horrific career-ending injury that promoted him to help start Road 2 Recovery, a non-profit that benefits injured riders. Now an agent for Wasserman Media Group, Jimmy has found success helping others succeed. Tune in… this is going to be a good one.
Is there something you’ve always wanted to ask Jimmy? Send us a tweet @w_throttle_show or an email to info@thewhiskeythrottleshow.com and we’ll add it to our list of questions. You can also send questions to Ping and GL and the duo will respond in the 4 Wheel Parts Get@Me Q & A segment later in the show.
The show posts on Friday and you can listen on Itunes, Spotify, Stitcher and links to the show can be found on www.racerxonline.com , www.troyleedesigns.com as well as www.thewhiskeythrottleshow.com. The show will also be available on our YouTube channel by searching The Whiskey Throttle Show.

Man i used to have a vhs tape of a supercross world championship round i think on switzerland 1996 where Button smoked everybody, he really was flying that day. The race commentators said he trained at McGraths ranch and was "forced" to do 100 laps a day minimum!

Hello David.... I heard your Show with Old local guy Jim Bacon aka Bones and you remembered a guy racing with one arm here in AZ "Bandit", but could not remember his name. His name is Jeff Martin a Rep for Parts Unlimited in AZ, he is still around.

I still remember talking with you and your Dad at LL's 1990 when you were just a kid on 85's... good times.

And have known JB since his 60cc days at Canyon. Ask Jimmy about his "Monkey" nickname.... Oh yea.his son may be the next Tiger Woods.... no moto for Mini Jimmy.

Cheers.
"Sir George" / Tucson back then.... LOL.
Jim George.

This is awesome. Jimmy reached out to me after I had my accident that left me in a chair and really gave me some much needed encouragement. I'll always be grateful for that.

Jimmy is a stud, miracle man. From paralyzed to riding a bicycle 2400 miles across the US, half of it with a broken elbow freshly screwed together.

I met Jimmy a few times here in Arizona. Was always easy to talk to and super nice. Didn't he have a practice supercross track in casa grande?
