It's time for new boots, and I was looking at Jett boots. Any reviews on these? And anyone know the differences between the lite boot and the normal one? The J1 lite is on ebay right now for $150. Hard to beat the price for a full hinged boot.
Thanks!

Is there a specific boot you're talking about or are they releasing something new? I don't see anything on their site that'd make me deviate from Jett.
I really need to get boots now, the soles on my foxs are worn out, and I punched a hole in the ankle.... the ankle I've broken before lol so waiting a few months isn't a good option

Jett Boots are the most comfortable I have ever worn (size 12). They are ready to race as soon as you put them on. Another plus is the low profile of the toe, which makes shifting a breeze. However, there is a downfall, eventually (after 1 year+ of weekly riding), the hinge mechanism will wear out and come out of its socket (the plastic erodes away over time). I recently switched to Sidi after I could no longer find a Jett Distributor. If Jett were still readily available in the US I would still be wearing them; although the Sidi Crossfire is a very close 2nd.

Definitely jump on them! You won't be disappointed. Best boot, the only down fall is the hard sole takes a bit of the feel of the pets away, but you'll get used to them. I still search for some so I can stock pile them.

Thanks yall. I looked it up, the lite boot is just the normal boot. The other model is the "pro"
Onto the sad news... the $150 ebay special is out of my size now Sad shoulda jumped on it two weeks ago when I first saw it. I can get gaerne for basically the same price as Jett retail.... so which would yall get? SG10 or J1?
If it makes a difference, I ride woods and track on a 150. I don't have a problem shifting, but the slim toe box on the Jett sounds great with all the shifting I gotta do

I've had the J1 boot for the last 18 months, not as good as all the hype in my opinion, I just bought Forma 'Terrain TX' boots, now they are awesome .... light, no break-in and low buy price!

Oh dear god no, if they do a licencing deal with Jett boots, combined with their good carbon helmet, they will be doing entire gear deals with the likes of PC Kawi. Dear God.

I've had my jett boots for about two years. Best boots I can remember owning. Lite weight, comfy, just a really good boot.

I absolutely love mine. I have three sets, and when it comes time for more, I will order more. I've been wearing them for close to 6 years now.

+1 for Jetts, myself and two other buddies own them and I love them!

Hard landings that used to hurt my feet are longer there, distributes impact really well - great boots, I'd recommend them.

As for sizing, true to size in comparison to shoe.

Fly actually partnered up with tcx to make the current fly sector boot so yes, technically fly has you covered head to toe now..

Sidi or gaerne are the way to go.

Heard good things about the Jett boot, though.

Fly is developing some new stuff.

If I needed boots right now: Gaerne

Are you saying Fly is coming out with a boot similar to the Jett J1's? I could see it happening because I remember hearing Jason Thomas on a podcast mention he had a hand in developing the Jett's (I could be wrong).

The only thing that I don't get thouh, is if that were happening, Fly just came out with a high-end Sector boot... what does that mean for the Sector boot or is there just nothing happening and its wishful thinking that a J1 type boot is coming back in the USA!

Sidi, gaerne, jett, forma, then a bunch of others in that order. Alpinestar doesn't make the list, they suck!
I currently use Jett, my sidis got ripped from milestone, and the jetts were $140.

New life in an old thread for all of you Jett fans. I spend a lot of time in Colombia and met a Brazilian guy who was selling Jett boots. Seems that a Brazilian company bought them and they are for sale in South America.

If you want a pair you can buy them for about 200 USD from Brazil. I figure shipping is between 50 and 100, so well worth it in my opinion.

Do you happen to remember the persons name, or company name?

But if He can get Factory ECU for the hinges then is all good right?

I looked into ordering a couple pairs from the company in Brazil but there is no way to get them from them. I tried and got nowhere. Frustrating.
