He is heading to US and amateur racing next year, unfortunately.

Id say that he could perform well on a factory KTM in MX2 next year.

his best lap that race was a 1.42.2, which is just as fast as Covington the race just after.

Was hoping Dylan Walsh had a better finish but great result for Jet, such a shame how suzuki closed up shop.

Is Jett going to the US next year with Hunter or gonna stay in Europe?

Can he possibly get out of next years amateur deal if he decides to turn pro and run mx2 gp?

"Jett Lawrence's success on mini cycles led several teams on both sides of the Atlantic to try to lock up his services for the future--he's easily one of the most-heralded amateur riders in the ranks. He will race U.S. amateur events in 2019, and the team will then gauge his progress to determine a graduation date to the pros." Taken from Transworld

Sounds like he has a multi year deal with them.

And there was a fair bit of track work done between those races.

He's talented, especially in the sand; he had a decent result in Latvia as well.

Hunter's fastest was a 1.45.0 by the way.

Damnit, MXGP's youtube doesn't have a highlights for moto 2, only one of those shitty "best moments" videos that show like 20 seconds of the race in slow motion and zoomed right in

I think the deal was done in conjunction with his brothers deal as it kinda sounds like a both boys come over or neither kinda situation. Couldn’t imagine it working having one in Europe and one in the US after all that the family has sacrificed moving to Europe from Australia together for them to hopefully make it and then having half the family living in a different country on the other side of the world. I hope both boys have a big future in the sport, plenty over here say they could be the closest thing to the next Chad Reed we have seen come out of AUS

Yep Beaton was on the move upwards to, he kept improving up until his big get off, hopefully he gets another ride for next year if he doesn’t quite make it back this season

Yeah it makes a lot of sense and I bet Honda aren't too fussed about having Jett either.

Yeah definitely a win win for Honda with these 2 boys

Jett is getting better every week it seems. Got a 1-1 at Moggers a couple weeks ago in the german championship and this last weekend won race 1 by 9 sec over Sihvonen and 26 over Edelbacher while starting 9th, and 3rd in Race 2 just 0.9 sec behind 1st after a start around 26th, getting faster lap time than Hunter whole day long. Kid on rails!

Well that is a one off, hand made out godaidium, featuring the very latest of any ideas known to man bike. But still slower than anything available in the USA WhistlingLaughingTongue
