The "Quit being a dumbass" part is harsh, but it's too early to tell.

The kid is 16 blink

Yeah he's got mega talent but it takes a lot more than just that to be a champ etc. (see Forkner, Adam C.)

I'll reserve judgment until after his second year as a pro

Not often you see a rider coming into their first PRO year with a two digit number.

Was better than I expected him to be at Aus-X

Has already run up near the front in the Pro Class and needed to to pull off track to not earn to many points at the end of last year.

But as someone said, always to early to tell if someone is going to be a champion. Some great riders have never won a title, but the kid will be a contender for years to come.

the kid is barely 16, already won in EMX250, he has speed and youth on his side, look how long Osbourne or AC took to get titles

he was world 65 champ in europe in his first race out of australia, his family are down to earth and have put everything in place, he wont win this year i dont think, but i can see him being a top 250f guy in 3-4 years, and still younger than most guysm

KR94 was 16 and already MX2 world champion, not race winner in EMX250.

He has a lot of talent for sure, hopefully he can get a couple of healthy seasons in early on. I think this is key for any young guy going pro. Webb was relatively healthy in his 250 career, Tomac as well, Roczen, Dungey, RV, etc. I also hope Hunter L can get a whole season under him too.

Old MXer turned Superfan.

For Jett to finish the season with no injuries and in the top 10 will be amazing.
If he gets through this season healthy.. he will be a title contender the following year.

I just hope Hunter and Jett race the same coast.

Just for the record. He was a 65cc world champion.

If he was sticking around to race MX-2. There's every chance he could have been an MX-2 world champ at 16. We'll never know.

He made his official pro debut the same night Reedy officially announced his retirement. Good omen. Changing of the guard.

I just hope he rides to his potential. Not other peoples expectations.

I really hope both he and Hunter have good longevity.
I was spewing Hunter raced the last rnd of the MX. That was a stupid move IMO. There was absolutely nothing to gain from it. It's decisions like that, that will shorten his career.
Athletes these days seem to think It's a race to get back into competition after a serious Injury. Normally doesn't end well. Never will.

He’s a young exciting rider coming thru!

He had quite similar results in EMX, turned pro at age 15 and trained with Heiko Klepka in Germany, Ken's dad. He definitely reminds me of Ken before he went to KTM. Also his personality is very similar.
Not sure about the championship thing

I would say a young Windham with respects to riding style. Almost looks as if he isn't trying at all.

This was exactly what I was thinking, & part of why im already a fan of the kid. I think he will do well, style and personality are one of those rare combos you see.
