Bikes scattered everywhere and he jumps right into the carnage? Surely some points should be penalized? There was a photo on Gatedrop but they have pulled it. I don't know what flags were where, but does that matter when bikes are helter skelter? Pierce Brown 45 got the raw end of that deal.

In EMX 250 qualifying today, 5 rider's were docked 10 positions for disregarding yellow flags. It cost several of them a spot in the show. In F1 you see stop for 10 second penalties all the time for reckless driving.

Really? running down through there at race pace and you blame him? The problem is with the AMA rule for pros that you can still race and pass on a yellow, it's stupid. Jett did nothing wrong here according to the rules. Crap happens when you race motorcycles.

Idk about this. 90% of the time a yellow flag is a tip over. Would be nice to get some of those flashing lights from Supercross and put them on blind jumps.

It was a split second deal, about 10 of them. It seems most of the other rider's were able to shut down in time, meaning it wasn't blind. Hard to believe you can't see that shit show in front of you.

Jett’s wheels were pretty much on the ground. There was a corner before I’m sure he was focused on, then upon exit of the corner he looks up and sees this mess and has no time to stop. The crash happened in a weird spot, as proven by several of the worlds best riders being unable to avoid it.

Not sure how you call it “jumping in” when it’s a single roller... everyone’s wheels were on the ground? Marchbanks plows browns bike a split second before jet so is he in the wrong also? Racing incident bad spot on the track unfortunately for everyone.

There are race referees for a reason. And I can bet you somewhere in that rulebook is personal recklessness, find it yourself.

It’s a good thing Pierce saw him coming and somehow softened the blow, if he had his back turned he could’ve been killed, and then this conversation would have an entirely different tone.

It also looked like one of those deals where Marchbanks swerved at the last second while Jett was behind in the same line - and couldn’t shut down fast enough. Bad deal all around but hard to fault anyone. Hope Pierce is ok. He’s been ripping.

Where I race we sign a disclaimer to absolve the organisers, and other riders, of any liability in such situations.

We specifically acknowledge that, basically, other riders may be maniacs and we run a very real chance of being injured or causing injury- or worse. No claim possible.
