Oh wow. Looks like they should put some banners up to prevent people from taking the Axel Hodges/Josh Hill line at the vet track.

It's called personal responsibility. Those two tables are actually really safe...as long as you don't cut the track to hit it WFO and link two jumps that weren't meant to be one. The dude obviously knew what he was trying to accomplish; it just didn't work out. Hope that guy and his huge balls are alright.
Lessons learned: 1. More speed
2. Twerk nipples in addition to sprocket bolts
He would of saved that if it wasn't for hitting that hole at the end. That part of the landing was brutal ugghh!
And there goes Jeffro. One of God's own prototypes. A super high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

That was Ciaran Naran and that was on his race bike. Only 250 to jump it.. he was so close!
And he is not injured, but probably sore ha
Yeah definitely would not have been as bad had the front not stuck in a hole or if his front didn't taco.
I say fair game on this one. He pretty much had it cleared.
Front wheel was absolutely worthless after the first impact... he would have wadded up hole or no hole after that. He's lucky it stayed together long enough to absorb some energy from the landing.
Braaapin' aint easy.

Pick it up at about 5 seconds and go frame by frame. Front wheel exploded on impact, never would have saved that one. Looks like the back wheel or tire also went to shit. I wonder who was "holding his beer".
Ciaran is a hard working, great young man and an accomplished racer. No doubt it was a gutsy move to try it on a 250, but if the wheel hadn't exploded he would have been ok. It was a calculated attempt that didn't work out.
You might remember a kid 4 or 5 years ago broke his femur on live TV in the supermini class at Monster Cup...same kid
Three or Four people were trying it on Saturday afternoon. They need to block the runup for that jump. The average person should not be trying that jump.
Go back to natural terrain motocross tracks.
I'd rather have a bumpy track with no jumps to keep the speeds and risk of injury moderate.
The Practice Facility at Club MX or Loretta's are great examples of challenging tracks that do not have such dangerous jumps. And they are quite enjoyable as well.

The dude was crashing no matter what. Front wheel trashed on the first hit but he shorted it so bad he was ejecting over the bars when the front wheel landed between two braking bumps. He didn't come close.
He would have rode it away if his front wheel didn't explode on the first hit. The only reason he cart wheeled was because he basically didn't have a front wheel anymore. Look at his body position after he shorts it and gets bucked, he's not even going over the bars.
Smack down the front end after a jump like that will put some pressure on that front wheel....the square edge he hit later was just icing on the crash....and got the bike doing the cartwheels.
This boy is lucky!
