This seems crazy to me! Is this a common thing?

Bet he still ruins a few fantasy teams from the sidelines.

Bummer for him though

Maybe he didn't enter until late? (Never mind, just saw the one of his additional comments.)

There were nearly 90 450 entries at Southwick. Maybe they hit the limit here?

No idea what his finances are but sometimes the money just comes too late but he's in for the next round. Take what you can get. The time constraints on timing everyone that shows up "on the day" are just too much. This ain't Chicken Licks...TV dictates a strict schedule.

90 entries.

36 into the show from qualifying. The next 40 to LCQ. 14 don’t make the LCQ cut.

Over 90 freakin' entries? Seems as though the privateer numbers are strong in that part of the country. Which is pretty awesome. Sucks for Jerry though. Get your papers in earlier kid!

Kind of like turning in your time sheet late and calling the boss an asshole for not having your pay check ready.

If you want to be a Pro, act like one.

I like the sound of those numbers. I remember the '70's when there might be a 100 or more 125's signed up for C class at any local track. Heck, i'll have to see if I can find my 1973 Dirt Bike buyers guide...I bet there were over 10 different brands to choose from. Bygone days.

Signed up late and denied entry are different.

Yup. They only take 80, first come first serve. Not denied, just late to the party.

I read another privateer's comment a few days ago that he was denied due to sign ups being capped at 100 entries. Probably shouldn't have waited until less than a week before to sign up.

Need to have a deadline and then accept top riders. First to signup as the criteria is not in the sports best interest.

National Number...Should never be turned away!
That's probably true. If JS7 or RD5 signed up late they would turn them away?

Denied an entry is probably the wrong wording if it's your own fault...
Why even race if you're gonna dnf both motos.

I'm guessing with a weak field people are liking their chances of national points

Years ago Jeff Ward was denied entry while running in the top ten in points. It was his first pro year and they would fill entries with the ones that had the most pro advancement points first. There were many that entered that had more advancement points than he did and he was denied. They changed the rule after that to allow someone like Jeff to get entered when they are in contention.
