Not sure if it was an April Fools post or not, but I made a meme anyway Laughing Strange deal if it's true, though.

First off I just want to thank @fxr_chaparral_honda for the help this first half of the season, it’s been an interesting start to the year with seeing a program get built from the ground up and being around it all. During these uncertain times of not knowing what is going to happen I have decided it’s best for me to part ways from the team and doing my own program like I did last year in the 2019 season. Thank you guys and good luck moving forward ✊🏻 @fxrmoto, @chaparralmoto, @honda_powersports_us, @yoshimura_rd, @racetechinc, @6dhelmets, @purekana, @oakley, @alpinestars, @motulusa, @odigrips, @_xtrig_, @galferusa, @hinsonracing, @dubyausa, @rk_excel, @haan_wheels, @sunstar_ea, @viscid_design, @boyesenfactoryracing, @epoxy_it_, @dcmxtools, @slfmotion, @workschassislab, @worksconnection, @engineice, @iwcmotorsports_tire_pros, @arcmemlon, @dt1filtersusa, @recmx, @ufoplastusa, @guts_racing_inc, @jepistons, @ridedunlop, @recmx, @cv4powersports @honda_racing_us @renegadefuels

nothing about that seems like an april fools. Seems amicable. ML picked a hell of a year to start a race team.

With the utmost respect to ML and his efforts, it is rumored that Jerry prefers his KTM's.

No doubt many sponsors of every team will start pulling back support which will kill rides too. Right now is when most companies and shops should be starting to reach their peak sales and the rug has been pulled right out from under them. I will say I'm pretty shocked how busy shops are still in my area so I hope we get spared to some extent.

Only if he wants to do it again next year. I'm sure it's a huge investment of time and money without a whole lot of reward.

Jerry Robin seems like a train wreck to the casual observer.

Hasn't he been involved with a few other mid-season splits as well?

To me it seemed as though Jerry might have been putting a bit too much pressure on himself. This experience was all-new for him, sometimes a guy who has been getting it done with no support has a hard time adapting to lots of support because he feels like he's letting the whole organization down when he has a bad day. One that stuff starts compounding mentally, it's very difficult to right the ship.

I remember the L&M Brooks, McGrath, Supercross.com, Chaparral gig that Short rode for going all to hell.

Did it have something with no support for the outdoor series ? Going to be tough for the privateers this summer if we have a series.

That is awesome Michael. It would seem pretty crazy to do all this work for one year. I predict that you will be an overnight success in 5 years!! Best of luck and what you have accomplished to date is pretty dang impressive.

I explained he difficulties of signing a rider from another continent at least twice on this board. Laughing I don’t have the means to make that happen.

Probably going to upset some people but I feel like Robin could get a factory ride and still not be good enough to finish a season... just my two cents, but the dude really lacks commitment.

I'm sure this has been quite a learning experience. Like my favorite Canadian says; "can only go up from here" . Best luck on moving forward.

Jerry finished the entire season out of a van last year with some very strong results.

As someone who is close to both Jerry and the team, a lack of commitment and Jerry do not go together.

I think ML will agree, a lot of times Jerry may have worked too hard.

Don't forget, the night show in Phoenix started out very well with Blose continuing to be in every 450 main and Jerry making his first. From there, the injury bug really started to be a big issue.

Injuries have been the biggest issue.

I got hurt in Dortmund and tried to ride on the weekends after I got back and it was a struggle. I then decided to go race Denmark Supercross two weeks before Tampa and that was a mistake. I had a huge get off that put me in the hospital and unable to fly for 5 days. I had a bad AC separation to my shoulder and figured I would be out till at least Atlanta or maybe daytona. On Thursday before Tampa, I told ML I would like to try and ride and I went out for Friday press day, made it 3 corners and said no way. After a lot of tape, and meds, I raced Tampa and i made the main but that was all I could do.

A lot of issues we have all had have been out of our control, it is what it is and we have done what we could with what we have.

I believe this break is a good thing for riders, but not the best for a team. We’re doing our best to get by!

I think we are all very thankful for what ML is doing for us, it hasn’t been pretty but injuries and a late start with things did not help but I believe he understands that.

We will be ready when the time comes, it can only go up from here.
